 A good candidate running against BHO will beat him easily, but if we get a RINO like last time he will be there for another term.

If you can find it, you need to read General Petraus' foreward/intro in the counter-insurgency manual (FM3-24).  It fits OUR political system today--Dems/progressives are the insurgents that just got into power, RINO's are the old warlord faction now pushed out of power.  Little people still lose.

The plan for success is clearly laid out, too.  The problem is that COIN requires PERFECTION to work, or at least a lot closer to perfect than most are able to achieve.

I don't know about that, Washington, Mao, and Ho Chi Mihn all won through persistence and simply not losing long than their foes could sustain their efforts to win.

Yes, but Attila wasn't available. (got to cater to the wimps  ;D  )
