Model 70 Winchester
« on: November 20, 2012, 12:07:09 PM »
Just got this today, a Model 70 Winchester Heavy Varmint in .308.  Slapped the Tasco on her.  Gonna see what she will do tomorrow!

Nice looking gun! That's the first one I've seen with a 2 tone action / barrel.

I had one in .300 Win Mag.
I HATED it !
Th rifle and caliber were great, but it had a 26 inch barrel .
When it was in the case it would not fit in the freaking car.

Nice looking rifle.

Just got home from shooting my new toy, and I gotta say I love this gun.  Had it on target in 3 shots, and at 100 yards everything was MOA or less, and that is with hunting grade bullets, my reloads.  At 300 yards all I had to do to hit 2 liter bottles filled with water was to hold on the next mil dot on my scope, and it would drill them every time.  No, I didn't take a picture of my targets, forgot the camera, so you are just gonna have to take my word on it!  Can't wait to load up some 168 grain Sierra match kings and see what she will really do

Very cool.   Great buy.

Isn't there just a whole lot of satisfaction knowing if you're got it dialed in that's where the bullet will go?

Will work for ammo
