M1 Garand
« on: July 07, 2012, 07:06:09 AM »

I enjoyed this episode. Again the slow-mo's of the action and the recoil were terrific.   It was nice to again see Joe shooting.

But, while enjoyable, if I hear one more time how Patton said it was the greatest battlefield implement ever, I'll scream.

I'd would have loved to here more about the development, the internals, the trials, and maybe more about how CMP restores them and makes them available.

One thing I noticed is that no-one ever loaded an M1 on camera. Lots of shots of shooters emptying clips but not one of a clip being loaded. What? Afraid of a little M1 thumb?
