Cracks Down on "SWAPS"

Today the President will:

• Press for a ban on high capacity magazines with more than 10 rounds
  
• Push for universal background checks, meaning everyone who buys a gun must undergo criminal and mental health background checks. This applies to gun shows, private sales, and clamps down on “swaps”
  
• Press for an assault weapons ban
  
• Request that funds are made available to treat mental illness, and provide schools at all levels support to enhance their safety

SWAPs   Yes, SWAPS, because folks, as I've said, it's not "the sale" it's "the TRANSFER".  As in:  Can I use your gun to go hunting?  Want to fire a few shots of my .44?  Want to "RENT" a gun at the range?   Can I bequeath my gun to my children?  My wife?


SUPPORT   Is he now in favor of arming guards/police/teachers/admin at school?
