A Democrat in the Whitehouse
« on: January 27, 2008, 01:15:30 AM »
Just a Thought.......

With all the Republican frontrunner's most likely to win being against the Second Amendment in one way or the other, the chance of them signing any gun control bill from the Democrat controlled House/Senate is high. Which of course will send whatever support the GOP/RNC has from the conservative movement to flee or at least, never trust another Republican and harm the cause of freedom for ages.

With a Democrat in the Whitehouse and a Democrat controlled House/Senate, if they try to move any gun control measures, the fire storm it would cause from the Second Amendment activists would be much stronger and louder than with a Republican sitting in the Whitehouse and they would be thinking real hard about what happened in 1994 when they lost the House to Republicans due to the "Assault Weapons Ban". If they try to pass anything, they will lose again and maybe the Republicans gain one or both Houses with the heat on them to overturn whatever was passed.

Also, if they do take control, we need to be on the Republicans to filibuster any gun control bills and make sure they grow some go-nads with zero compromise deals about the Second Amendment, no back room Bob Dole type of deals anymore!

This election is bad all the way around and with whoever you go with. Let's all pray that the SCOTUS is guided from above and finds in favor of what the founding fathers had really meant about the Second Amendment!!!

If a Dem wins the prez post it will likely be big. Meaning Dem pickups in Congress. P/U enuff senate seats and Reps won't be able to fillibuster. And the minority in the House can't really block legislation.

So you will wind up with a AWB at the least. One more onerous than previously passed, without a suset and the banning of ANY AR or AK, etc. Nor would I count on enuff p/u's in 2010 to be able to repeal it.

Dems, if they win big, won't worry about gun owners/2A voters. Gun owners/2A voters are in danger of showing themselves to be politically impotent with this election. 2A voters couldn't nominate Fred. If 2A voters sit out this election then progun candidates for congress, guv, etc will go down to defeat. Why would the Dems fear the NRA lobby or 2A voters if in 2008 progun cadidates across the board go down to defeat?

I don't think 2A will skip the vote in its entirety I think that they will either not vote for pres or votes 3rd party, and vote for conservative local and national Congress, Senate, council etc.  I know that is what I intend.

The party needs to be rebuilt.  If we elect a RINO (no matter which one) the party will continue left (compassionate conservative BS) and the RNC and RLC Will be lead by that RINO.  Bad news.

If the Democrats win and control it all, I don't think it will be with huge gains at all or any type of a mandate even though they will try to say they have a mandate.

I know that I will not vote Mitt, Rudy or John this election, I could hold my nose for the Huckster. The way things look though, it'll be either Mitt or John unless it winds up being a convention tug o war. As it stands now, the GOP/RNC has not only turned it's back on the Second Amendment Conservative but has also slapped our face thinking that we have no other place to go and so we have to keep voting the party line.

I'm sick and tired of anyone being able to call themselves a Republican or a Conservative Republican while they lean and govern to the left on many issues and being supported by the party. The so called big tent is just too big now of days that the word conservative or Republican doesn't mean a thing anymore. I'm really starting to think that I am watching the last days of the GOP/RNC and it will end up as "The party that was......" The two party system now just seems to be "Diet Socialism or Full Flavor Socialism" with neither of them remembering that we are a Constitutional Republic and not a Democracy.

With the move on to get rid of the Electoral College, I just might live long enough to witness the end of my Country, these are some very trying times now and ahead for all of us. Keep the powder dry!!!

McCain belongs in this section.

The only section McCain belongs in is a Section 8.
