Trucker Bocott Plans For NYC

Truckers are supporting Trump by planning a boycott of NYC about the bullshit charges he has been hung with in the trial overseen by that make believe judge in NYC.  The truckers have seen what the European farmers have accomplished (didn't see the other side of that anywhere in our news, did you?) by boycotting cities and spraying cow manure on their government buildings while shutting down urban transportation with a mega-fleet of tractors.  US truckers also backed down the State of Colorado recently with a boycott.  Truckers have been quoted as saying, "F**k around and find out."

This may expand to other liberal cities.  And happily, here at the same time the truckers in Canada are being vindicated in court for their civil disobedience.  It was all fun and games when our "dear leaders" were doing this in their youth protesting...they don't like it when they get called out.  They also don't like treating others like they were treated...there are no slaps on the wrist from them as they are out for total dominance by jailing and ruining people.  Stop bringing in food for a week will begin to make it real for them. 

Methinks they need to make a point in Georgia (sorry Alf, stock up the panty) with all the foolishness going on in court over there too.

Of course there will be blowback and threats towards the truckers from across the board.  If this happens, then they need to hold past the threat phase to get to the begging phase that will inevitably come.

It's the City of Atlanta.  Like NYC, an entity unto itself.


Evidently, in Georgia, according to today's papers, it's okay to give kickbacks and favors to a contractor if you're the DA.

This trucker that got the attention for "starting" the boycott is back pedaling now that it has gained so much attention. I have seen the original, and a few of the follow-up posts, and he is mostly venting and saying they need to. Most likely hoping someone will jump on board, but so far it is the media that is jumping.

I don't know if NY officials realize it, but independent truckers do their best to avoid the northern east coast, and especially the NYC area. Congestion, difficult dock locations, crime, tolls, ... When we need to go there it takes us hours to hire a truck, as compared to minutes for almost any other part of the nation.

One of the problems with social media is that truckers are being heard by the nation. They are saying the same things, but in the past it was confined to truck stops and warehouse lots.

Yep.  He backed off of it.  A friend of mine made a delivery to NYC and got ticketed for a big nothing burger.  He never went back.

Sadly this will do nothing.

Even if most truckers do it, at best it would mean a slight increases in pricing to go into nyc.

I disagree.   If most of the truckers would stay out of NYC there would be a wakeup call.  In Colorado a judge gave a driver 110 years for an accident where 4 people were killed.  It was a young guy who should not have been driving in the mountains and his brakes went out and he hit an accident scene....despite feelings one way or another truckers banded to avoid Colorado because of the sentence the driver received.  The response from Colorado was very swift to reduce the sentence to about 10 years with parole...in scant weeks the truckers backed down the State of Colorado and the judge. 

If a boycott actually keeps goods from getting into an area in a meaningful way attitudes will change.  The political hit on Trump from a bizarre trial over his successful bank loans will also prove to be transformative to NYC.

We'll be seeing NYC start crying about business leaving in a big way mid-2025.  It takes a while for people to realize what is going on and for them to provide "feedback" to elected officials who lack a dose of reality.  The sentence in Trump's case is bizarre and obviously a political hit.  The politicians can whistle through the graveyard all they want right now, but $$$$'s are leaving NYC and that just accelerated with the blatant, unjustified and unfair political hit on Trump.  For example, a Canadian pension fund sold to one of its partner's for a buck, its 29% stake in Manhattan’s 360 Park Avenue South at the end of last year...and the bad news about business closing shop or leaving NYC is now accelerating. 

We are seeing the 3rd world decent of the large cities and our nation as a whole.  If elections continue to be stolen in one manner or another, our fate is sealed.  Boycotts and civil disobedience are essential if this roller coaster to hell is to be avoided.

The majority of trucks going into NYC are made up of two groups: Old school Owner Operators (O/O), and Middle East rookies.  Old School O/O love NYC, because they have run it for years, they know the routes and costs, and they can charge the daylights out of shippers.  Dollar for dollar it costs us almost double per mile to send items into NYC or Boston as anywhere else in the nation. Rookies are just doing what their dispatchers tell them to do, and finding new jobs after they destroy equipment on low bridges, or new careers after abandoning their rigs in the metro area.

Regardless, there are fewer drivers every month that are willing to take these runs into these areas. Result is that distribution centers are moving to the outer rim, and shuttles go into the city.
