Get ready for a new season. Our first episode is about the S&W Model 29.

DVR is programmed and ready.

I'll try to squeeze it in between Glades and Warehouse 13, this summer.

Just watched in on the DVR.  Now I really want a Model 29.

Loved the story about Elmer Keith and the seagull.

Good story.   Enjoyed the episode.

I especially enjoyed all the slo-mo shots of the 29 being fired.   The muzzle rise was very minimal.  Of course those were mostly the 8-3/8" barrel models.  My .44's  have full length under lugs and un-fluted cylinders so they "absorb" recoil pretty well too.

Only wished the episode touched on some of the variants, especially on the 629 (my favorite).   I went through the NRA Distinguished Expert course of fire with a 6" 629.

I just figured they were shooting a lot of .44 specials.

We did shoot a lot of Specials from Col. Cooper's .44, but we threw in some 240-gr JHP Magnums as well!

Glad you guys liked it!

Excellent show!  I'm fortunate enough to have my grandfathers 29 from 1957.  They sure don't make them like that anymore!
