Get out of there Timothy! Hospital food has always has a tendency to suck unless you're a rich person getting plastic surgery somewhere I couldn't afford. But when I was in the hospital eating my meals in a group instead of in my room, whoever hadn't lost their appetite was asking anyone who had, are you going to eat that? And when checking off what we wanted for our next meal there were a whole lot of X2s on the slips of paper.
Sometimes you just have to eat crappy food and know that it's better than no food. Once at Fort Polk I had a bayonet on a long stick and was chasing a squirrel in the woods. I think we had a propane torch, but I probably would have eaten it raw if I caught it. Cooking takes too long when you're really hungry. Luckily someone finally decided to feed me and this other guy, and they gave us each a C-ration plus whatever they cooked up that day.
