Quarter pound burger with onion rings and fries from Cook Out burger joint.

1/2 lb burger from Ron's with a mug of root beer no fries.  Extra mustard and pickle, no mayo.

It is the argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves.

FOOD: I had a cold gyro. I bought a 3-pack for breakfast and brunch, and I had one left over. Before I started on the gyros I had an order of deep-fried breaded spicy cheese cubes, dipped in what tasted like ranch dressing with coarse black pepper in it. The cool ranch didn't cool them off. They somehow tasted hotter with it but I dunked all except the first one in it. The cubes were small and may have been cheese snack sticks cut into cubes. They would be easy to make at home.

NON-FOOD: I pulled in the gyro drive-in place on the way home from the lawyers office for the Flint water contamination class-action case. I got a bone lead test with a portable XRF gun. The technician set her phaser to stun, held it against my shinbone for 3 minutes, and that was it. It shoots out a high-energy  x-ray and when it hits metal atoms it knocks electrons out their orbits, yada, yada, yada, and they each fluoresce with their own wavelength of x-rays that it detects. Whatever. She said it would read how much lead my bones absorbed in the last 20 years. Since I've had osteoporosis for such a long time, the sponge-like holes in my bones are likely to to have absorbed even more lead. Lucky me. I have an excuse for gaining weight during those years. :) The XRF gun looked about like this, but the ones for metallurgy will tell you the exact composition, name of the alloy, or even what metals are in raw ore. All I saw was a graph with a few peaks on it. She said OSHA wouldn't allow her to tell me what the results were, and I have to wait to hear from my lawyer.

1/2 pound of beef barbacoa between 2 slices of cheese* and 2 slices of toast. Bourbon barbecue potato chips. I don't know when I'll cook a regular meal.

* Kerrygold mild cheddar from Ireland.

Pigs in blankets and leftover cake from a bridal shower.
(my littlest granddaughter says she like the pigs, but not the blankets)  ;D

Thinly sliced turkey in a white sauce over rice.

Great nations rise and fall. The people go from bondage to spiritual truth, to great courage, from courage to liberty, from liberty to abundance, from abundance to selfishness, from selfishness to complacency, from complacency to apathy, from apathy to dependence, from dependence back again to bondage. Where are we now??????
