I agree with your last sentence. I owned a P-11 for about six weeks and three boxes of ammo. It was a jam-o-matic with
hp, perfect with hardball, no fun to shoot, but went bang every time with fmj. I sold it because I couldn't take up the trigger slack and know when it would go bang, and also, if I rode the trigger even a little, I had FTF problems. If I did things right it was fine. It was also very concealable. I asked myself "Am I comfortable trusting my life to this gun"? The answer was no. Not due to the gun, just my interface with it. I traded it in on a Glock 26. The Glock was more $ and less concealable in a pocket, but it passes the "would I trust my life with it" test in the blink of an eye. When I relized this, the extra $200 didn't seem like that big of a deal. Buy a used J frame or a used Glock and learn to love pleated chinos and relaxed fit jeans and you'll be a lot happier, and safer. Just my .02.

The Kel-Tec P-32, P3AT, which I have, was the model "copied" by all the rest that "jumped" into the .380 pocket pistol market here lately. Kel-Tec just is the quiet company that has sold thousands and thousands of these models.

They were never designed for all day range trips, or IDPA matches, they are up close defensive pistols and/or a BUG.

CS is real people, that answer the phone, listen to your concern IF you have one, and will send you anything you can install for FREE. Or they will FIX it FOR FREE.

I have done nothing but add a metal mag release, and done a fluff & buff. The long trigger pull is by design, and it fires, feeds, and ejects every. 380 ammo I have run through it.

Have you owned one?. If you just don't like the su16 which is a rifle, that is irrelevant to this thread.

I agree TW. I don't like them, but I haven't said a word against their reliability (except with 9mm hp, which my  P-11wouldn't feed realiably). Its just a question of personal preference. Me, I don't like them, but that's just me and the gun, the same way some folks can't seem to get comfortable with a glock. It's just personal preference. Me and kel-tec never got along (bonus points for Texans who get the reference). I wouldn't own one, but I would suggest that anyone interested rent one at the range and shoot it to see whether it suits them or not. If it does, great. Youve saved money. Their CS is top tier. Im not bashing, just stating that it didnt work for me. THATS my .02. Your mileage may vary.

I understand there is a 3rd gen now and they have the slide lock back.  My 2nd gen P3AT is still going strong and so a re all of the others I know about.

I'd buy a Kel-Tec again in a heartbeat.

I have a KelTec P-11 in 9mm that is my everyday carry gun and I LOVE it.  It runs any ammo I put thru it, and I can't make it fail, though God knows I've tried.  The Block snobs on here don't know what they're missing.

I at one time in my life was stupid enough to buy a p32 and i was a waste of money. The POS cracked along the frame after only 300rds, and to make things worse the warranty would not cover this.

My first Kel Tec was a first gen P-32. It would eat anything I fed it, including reloads. I carried it for a year until I bought a 1st gen P3AT. First fifty rounds produced a couple of mis fires due to light firing pin strike. I pulled out the pin and cleaned the inside of the hole which had some gunk in it, reassembled it, and haven`t had a problem with it since. It`s been my main carry gun for the last three years. My brother shot mine and went out and bought one (2nd gen) the same day. A friend shot mine and bought one a week later. Neither have had a problem. We all carry the P3AT daily.
I bought a P11 and was impressed with it`s accuracy at defense distance. It is a bit big for a pocket gun, but I carry it in the winter months.
I also bought a SUB 2000 in 9mm that I can`t seem to hit a barn door with. I`m sure it`s me, and with a little practice groups will improve.

Actually I carry one in my right front pants pocket daily.  I have a big, round holster for it, and while you can see that there is SOMETHING fairly sizeable in my pocket, there is no discernable shape that screams "GUN"!!!  My hope is that the ladies just think I'm really happy to see them.
