I have it at my mates place as he is also using the press for his loading

I have a Lee Anniversary Pack it also came with the lee Powder measure. lee 303 2 die set ( I just brought off a mate RCBS 3 die set )
my 9mm dies are also RCBS.
the scales are the same Ohaus 505's I believe they make the RCBS branded ones
when I put the new bench in my shed I want to get a new Reading or RCBS press thinking of a turret style one not sure if I need that though
also want to get some electric scales / powder thrower and a case tumbler

I've organized it a little better, and removed some of the clutter since these pics were taken. Bill T.

Here's my reloading room and press; see attached.

Phil,
How do you use the laptop with your reloading?
-
I'm confused, but is this porn ???

Phil,
How do you use the laptop with your reloading?
I have a spreadsheet set up for the load data I am using at that time
that day I also was on ADI's web site to get the load data for the powder weights as I did not have it printed off
+ i had DRTV podcast playing while loading ( I had a couple of shows to catch up on. )
-
I need to clean up the bench and take some current pictures. But I do have some closeups of a couple of neat things on my bench.
The first is the clamp for the powder measure. Dumping the measure was always a pain. This makes it so easy. Just loosen the wing nuts and slide the measure out.
The second is a "penny rail" (it goes by many names but that's one name used in theatre). It keeps bullets and brass from rolling off the table. Mine is from some strips of 3/4" double sanded ply slightly wider than the table is thick.

This is as clean as my bench gets.

Yes, but maybe kinkier than you're used to. Think of it as a fetish! ;D

Question - One of the last things I need before getting into reloading is a tumbler and media separator. Any recommendations? Besides something on sale? ?

I bought the Dillon FL-2000 back in the 80's when they came out, and it's still going strong. If and when it ever bites the big one I'll replace it with the exact same thing. It's well made and large enough to hold plenty of brass. I believe it's now called the CV-2001. Dillon also sells a nice size media separator, but mine came with my marriage. She is just as fast! This is what happens when you reload a lot. 2 Dillon 550b's
(http://i237.photobucket.com/albums/ff150/m25operator/Copyof100_1763.jpg)
Not included are single stage presses, my Mec shotgun reloader, or my casting or cleaning equipment, 3 vibratory and one still rotary case cleaner. But look at the tuperware bins I keep my dirty brass sorted from my clean brass in, they each hold several thousand cases.
Maybe I will take a few more pics, to show the rest.

First pic is the bench with tumbler, bullet sizer/crimp remover, MEC shotshell reloader, RCBS scale, RCBS progressive and Lee turret press and a few tools.

Second pic are components, dies and bullet molds.

A couple pics of my reloading shed
These pics are a little old I have another 2 presses now and little more ammo and stuff ;D
Top pic is one of my ammo safes in the shed.
The last couple pics you can see how one side of the bench lifts up out of the way. When out it is braced against the floor and ceiling for additional stabilization.

While I started reloading with a Lee handloader in the barracks, I soon moved up to a used RCBS RS2 single stage press on a folding table (carted that thing around post to post and to Germany). Once I bought a house keep the same table in the garage or barn. Now that I finally retired but still not home my wife built for me last year a 16x20 two store work shop. One corner is set up for reloading and casting. Here's a picture when I set it all up.
Here's another shot taken last week when I was home on leave. Lots of empty brass above and below in cans and crates. From left to right on the bench is a Lyman sizer/lubicator, Mec 450 Jr 12 ga press, Dillion 550B, powder stand and that old RS2 single stage. Need a case vibrator next.

This is the first time I ever actually saw this thread. And a few of the setups are very nice. BUT!
A little something to think about here. Do you fella's realize the police, FBI, ATF, and so on ALL regularly report in the media that they consider even so much as one small container of loose powder "Bomb making materials"?
Just saying...
Oh yeah. "I gave away ALL my reloading stuff a year ago. Guns, ammunition, ALL of it."; My official statement on this matter.
:)

Here is my "Ballistics Lab" equipped for single stage or progressive pistol & rifle, progressive shotgun(press not pictured), bullet casting, and ultimate precision benchrest loading. Yup, its my favorite room or shall I say "man cave"!!!!

How many of you have ever listened to a radio report or read a news story that talks about the arsenal and inventory ... stock pile of ammunition and then considered what you have at home? I mean, four guns and 75 rounds of ammunition :o Just saying :-\

It does provide amusement. Even the retards responsible for mass murder dont really have what you call an arsenal or a stockpile of ammo. The only thing in recent time I can think of where the bad guys had a decent supply of ammo to back them up and outgunned the police was the North Hollywood shoot out.

Didn't want to start a whole thread to post this, but figured I'd at least mention what I thought was a score (maybe not major, but still a score IMHO). A friend of mine had a box of Lee loading stuff he wanted $75 for but let me have it for $50.
It's got the heavy O-frame Challenger press which sells anywhere from $50-$70, depending on where you buy it, and it came with a set of .308 Win dies, which sell for $26-$40, also depending on where you buy. There are also several other items like the priming tool, lube, and a couple of wood midway loading blocks.
Like I said, not major, but way better than ordering and paying shipping and such. I already had a Lee single stage press and equipment, so now all I need to do is get one more press and then I can load a single caliber without swapping dies. I know a turret press would be ideal, but I already had a single and then this came along. I just want to set the singles up to load rifle stuff for hunting. I have a Dillon 550 to do pistol loads with when I can get it set up.
Now I just have to make room....I have everything but room.

Make a portable set up you can whip out and get stuck into it in the lounge room or kitchen and when you have finished pack it up and put it back in the cupboard. It may not be as good as having a purpose built room but it will be practicle for your purphone.
For eg

or

One that sits on the tabe, could put felt underneath to stop it marking the table and secure with a clamp

Thanks Sledge, I really liked the first one. I have a couple of the B&D workmate tables and one needs a new top. I may make one similar to that. I was thinking of making bases on the presses so they would dovetail in and out of slots on the work surface.
-
I just have to clamp it to the work bench. There is no room in the garage.
What can I say, I suffer from TES.
having a 14" 7.5 hp 3phase table saw is so nice... ;D
-
I used the Black and Decker folding work table when I was reloading, I used a 1/2 inch aluminum plate for a top and had the press bolted down.

Just for documentation, here's my bench with the addition of the Lock and Load. I'll probably sell off the Herter's single stage, if I can find a local buyer.

excuse the hand held vacuum on the table. I got that for Christmas and hadn't found a place to hang it just yet.

Was turning out the light and thought this was an artsy picture. Not exactly the exposure I wanted, but I'll work on it.

My reloading area with my slightly modified Hornady LNL. ;D
-
Very Cool 1in9. Very cool indeed.
-
Cookie,I have that same light over my reloading set up.
-
For those of you that have the Hornady LnL or the Dillon progressive presses, how much clearance do you need above the bench top for these presses? How much clearance above the press for working on the press? Thank you.
-
Without the case or bullet feeder, you need enough head room so as to not bump your head. ;D
I'll measure height above the bench later and modify this post.
-
This is what I have used for the last 3 years. Before that, I had a setup in the garage, but that got pretty cold in winter.
