This trucker that got the attention for "starting" the boycott is back pedaling now that it has gained so much attention. I have seen the original, and a few of the follow-up posts, and he is mostly venting and saying they need to. Most likely hoping someone will jump on board, but so far it is the media that is jumping.
I don't know if NY officials realize it, but independent truckers do their best to avoid the northern east coast, and especially the NYC area. Congestion, difficult dock locations, crime, tolls, ... When we need to go there it takes us hours to hire a truck, as compared to minutes for almost any other part of the nation.
One of the problems with social media is that truckers are being heard by the nation. They are saying the same things, but in the past it was confined to truck stops and warehouse lots.
