FightLite HERRING Model 2024 Modern Lever Action Rifle
« on: October 19, 2023, 10:48:17 PM »
FightLite Industries, the same people who make the MCR Dual-feed Rifle, SCR (Sport Configurable Rifle), SCR Raider and SCR Bandito Pistols, started making the HERRING Model 2024 Modern Lever Action Rifle. They took the SCR Non-Evil Black Rifle, and made it even less evil. Will it ban? Or is it un-bannable? A lever action with a can and detachable mags makes a lot of sense. But I'd still like to have a 12.5" barrel belt-fed Raider pistol. The upper fits any Mil-Spec lower, and the lower fits any Mil-Spec upper, so they should snap together like LEGOs.

Now THAT would be a remake I would watch!

Long dead of lung cancer, but what do you expect from someone who smoked 3 packs a day?

I have only one friend who smokes cigarettes, and he says smoking doesn't cause cancer, and isn't bad for your health in any other way. I guess it's all just a big government conspiracy against all those nice tobacco companies. ::)

To me, combining a AR-15 with a lever action, is a bit like putting a spoiler on a stagecoach.

Except, if I’m reading their hype correctly, I can swap out uppers/calibers as easily as an AR.  Even use my existing AR uppers?
Will work for ammo

Yep.....just another solution in search of a problem.

The problem was, if you had a lever action in the past, you were stuck with one caliber and one barrel length. I think it it would be cool to have a 5.56mm, .300 Legend, etc. you can swap out for a .400 Legend, .450 Bushmaster and a .300 BLK with a can, etc.. Especially if it was an SBR with a can, or an integral suppressor. Nothing beats a closed breech for sound suppression. And each upper would have it own dedicated sights, whether they be a scope for long range, a red dot for quick target acquisition, or just plain irons, for the ultimate in simplicity and durability. It has all the same modularity as an AR, but in a lever action.
