Most Recently I've been bringing all 6 of my Current 9's(SR9, LC9S,S&WSD9ve, S&W M&P9C, BerettaM9A1, and my new SIG250) out every time I Shoot, No Matter if Indoors or out( which can get pretty $$$ since my Indoor range charges $12 an Hr. For Pistol /22LR and $15 for Shotgun & CF Rifle).
It gets "Pricey" because I try and run 75-100 rounds thru each pistol, aside from whatever I might be doing "Long Gun" specific.
As far as EDC, if I'm not going somewhere "Restrictive" I Carry Either one of the Smiths, or the Beretta, with the LC9S as a BUG. When I have to go into a Medical facility(4x per week, once for PT and the Rest for HemoDialysis) I take the LC9S or the M&P in a "Man Bag" inside an average looking Duffle. I keep a neck pillow inside the larger bag with the top zippers facing the pillow. I have practiced Draw & Dry fire( or with the laserlyte insert) from a seated partially reclined position.

When we practice outdoors in the Desert(NF lands) and we set up our combination of Commercial and Home made targets, we draw in several passers By, which have included: 3 Cty Deputies, 2 Forrest Rangers, one Retired Army MP, one ret Army 75th Ranger, and each time at least one or two ATV'ers. Since indoor range time is expensive, barring extreme weather( like right now, we are in the Famous Arizona "Monsoon" Season) were out there 2-3 times a month. I envy those of you who can shoot on their own land. We had to downsize to a 55+ townhome. In my last place I scared a Bobcat off of the Girl next door's house cat with a 410 birdshot round from
My 6.5" Judge, and more recently the 80lb Bulldogge Puppyson was trying to do his biz before bedtime but was being harassed by 5 Yotes. Same Medicine.....

At the risk of being labeled and a quote being taken out of context I hang on to this - Just do something!

I know that within this group it won't be an issue, and we will all agree.  I am sick and tired of the media and anti's ranting over and over with the "a good guy with a gun" sound bite.  However, have you ever once heard anyone say there were too many good people fighting back against the bad guy?

Prepare, practice, keep a mindset, and pray you never need it.

The best advice.
While the thread is specifically about shooting incidents the undeniable fact is that taking any action MIGHT get you killed, cowering under a table WILL get you killed.
