Mossberg 183
« on: October 19, 2012, 11:20:56 AM »
Found this one at the yard sale the other week. Cleaned her up pretty good. What I've noticed, while reassembling the shotgun, is that the barrel is not free floated. Actually I can slide the dollar bill under the barrel, from the action toward the tip of the forend, but the last three inches of the channel are in full contact with the barrel. Is this by design or the stock got out of shape due to the old age?

most likly design.  Shot gun barrels are very then and weak compared to rifle barrels.
I always break all the clay pigeons,  some times its even with lead.
