« on: January 19, 2011, 12:40:29 AM »
Take a listen to my audio podcast review of the XCR.  As always, I welcome any feedback on how to make a better review.  My thanks to Mark Vanderberg for hosting this site on the Gun Rights Radio Network.

Nice Work, KPR.

Very good presentation, easy to follow and understand.  Complete with lots of detail and noting of personal observations and preferences.  Pros and cons covered well.

The only time I had trouble following was when you listed the caliber conversions available.  Too quick for my slow morning mind to absorb.   Maybe numbering the options would have helped me.  Like   1 - .223, 2 - 6.8 SPC, etc.

Thanks for the good work.  Don't wait so long before letting us know about these.

BTW, do you get any compensation for these reviews?  And if you do, does that mean you can write off the guns you buy as an expense?

I imagine the answer to the first question is No, and can't imagine the answer to the second could be Yes.....paradise on Earth is hard to even approach especially when the IRS is involved.

Take care.

Thanks for the feedback Solus.  That's good advice...slowing down a little bit with lists.  Even though I grew up in rural Illinois, I talk kinda fast.  I also noted that the audio was clipped and distorted...need to turn the gain down.

Sadly, no I don't get compensated for this, but I think it's fun.  I don't have a "gun buddy" living anywhere near me and this allows me to talk about my favorite guns.

Very nice. I have had my XCR for about 4 years and agree with your review.

I have the old machinegun trigger (heavy as hell) but it works well so I have not made the change. I might rethink that now.

I have had my XCR-L for about 2.5 years now and is is my go to shtf gun. They have recently come out with a new improved trigger or you could get a trigger job done for about $50. They are also announcing the new XCR-M in 7.62x51 at the shot show. I wouldn't sell mine for anything. Well maybe for $10K, but not any less.

Here's a teaser video released just before the SHOT show of the XCR-M.  The full auto sequences are pretty impressive...very little muzzle rise.

That is impressive.  That little recoil in a 8lb gun.

And I'd like to have a 7.62x51 semi.  Hope it stays as good as it look now when it gets to market and the price is not a killer.

Thanks.
