OT: Help with my Stage/TV show

FINAL RESULTS:

The contest is over and I can't say how thankful I am for all those who helped keep my show top rated.  Thank you.

It was in the end a popularity contest, but one in which voters could cast negative (1 star) ratings.   Some of the shows must have had concerted, organized activities to lower the ratings of other shows.    No hard feelings, I just learned you wait until the last minute to make your entry and have all your friends lined up to vote, before the nay-sayers can lower your rating.

The show finished (as best I can tell) at 50 out of 916 entries.   Not bad.  Top 5%.  And I feel it was mostly earned honestly.

BAD NEWS.  The powers-that-be will make their final vote on funding this Sunday night.   They will kill this show.   Not so much by direct vote but by cutting funding so badly and setting impossible circumstances that it can not continue.  My heart was in this ministry.    BUT where one door closes God will open another, so I've got to keep my eyes and ears open.

Last Post on this:

First, thanks to all who diligently voted for my show.   We finished in the top 50 which means they at least looked at the photo for the final judging.   I wish I had a better picture.  The winner really was pretty good.    Here's the top winners.

Now I have BAD NEWS and GOOD NEWS.

I've seen it coming, but Monday it was official.  My little TV show is dead.  No funding.  We lasted 3 seasons and have 75 edited episodes that we will try to "sell".  We have 30 episodes in the can that need editing but without funding we can't afford the editor.   It is a little sad as the creative team, talent and volunteers realize it will be no more.  (We're in summer hiatus right now.)   All that's left is to figure how to disperse the assets (sound, lighting, set and props).  Some of it has already been taken (retasked) for other activities.

GOOD NEWS:

I still have my job as overall Tech Director for the church.   On Sunday's I will be running sound for the contemporary service since there is no money to pay a sound engineer each week.
