Thanks for the post Haz... I missed it last year due to not having a friggin' dime to spare, but I'm hoping to show you all one, single 45 hole with 4 little chips out of the edges. Then you will know the wrath of Bluebone.

As self-proclaimed Grand Master Class of the Gunman1911 Postal Match - and overall pompous booty, I hear-by throw down the gauntlet.  If all goes well, I should start my competition today with class 4A and 4B.

TARGET WILL BE POSTED, so I can brag and you can droll.   Keyboard replacements are NOT provided.

Seriously folks, what other forum do you know that raises money for good causes by hosting a match among members?  Even if you don't want to shoot, or can't or whatever, drop a couple dollars bills in an envelope to Teresa for the Gunman1911 charity fund.

Took my el cheapo DPMS Sortical out to play with Rabbit's  Lake City Green Tip rounds. Can I just say "DAMN!" and get an amen? Either I am the man (doubtful), or I have found a rifle/ammo match made in heaven. Two 5 shot clover leaves at 50 yards with no bags. I was seated at 50 yards with an Eotech. This was just scary. I will submit a target. Like wise, just for the hell of it, and to inspire Haz, I will throw in a 50 yard target with an RWS .22 airgun at 50 meters. I have no idea how it or I will do at that range, but we will see. This is a great idea and I am totally enthused about it.

S'posed to get to the range  tomorrow...have not made up my mind what to take and shoot.
Last year I went with an all-pistol set of targets so I might change up a little this year. I have a neat little .223 single shot that is quite accurate that I might give a go.

Got out once but we had to call it a practice session. Still trying to get out for a few serious shots at the targets, but between my schedule, Maggie's schedule, and the weather, we're not doing too well.

 ;D

The ammo deal is Nosler, see MB's blog.  ;D

From Tom Gresham

MORE FREE AMMO!

Good grief!  You people are fast when you see a good deal.  When Nosler offered a special promotion to Gun Talk listeners on its .308 Match Grade ammo (buy one box, get a second box for free), you jumped on it.  In only a couple of weeks you wiped out Nosler's supply!

But not to worry.  Nosler called us to say they are continuing the offer, but now it's with the very impressive Trophy Grade ammo.  This deal is for the .308 Winchester cartridge loaded with 165-grain AccuBond bullets.  This bonded bullet holds together for great weight retention and penetration, but it also has a very high ballistic coefficient (it's sleek), which means it has a flat trajectory -- great for long shots.  It's also extremely accurate.

I'd hunt any game animal in North America with this load and never look back.  The special deal is the same -- buy one box and get one box free.  Stunning!  But, you have to know the secret code.  Visit Nosler for the offer, and when checking out, put "Guntalk" into the box for the promo code.  A deal this good is enough to make you buy a new rifle in .308, just for the ammo! (Maybe the Nosler Model 48 Custom Sporter that's $800 off right now for Gun Talk listeners who are NRA members? Same Code: Gun Talk).  I don't know how much ammo they have for this promotion, so you may want to move quickly.

I got this from Solus along with some money.... and I will retype exactly what he said to me. ;D

I know my target doesn't fit in any of the categories but I'm hoping that, if enough of us support it, maybe we can get it included for next year  :)
Date:   10-29-2010
Range:   Arms Length
Weapon:  Pencil
Load:  #2 Lead.

I laughed so hard when I saw this.. I love it.. I think it should have a place in the standings..  ;D

Ok you guys.. I have to tell you something.
Please don't start mixing the tar and feathers...
You all are going to have to make your own decision on who won this contest.

I lost? ??? the targets that you sent to me.. ( or they got thrown away)..
so I can't actually physically measure the holes.

We did some huge reorganizing awhile back and I just flat can not find them.
My mistake and I'll take what punishment you all feel deemed to give me..
