Got out once but we had to call it a practice session. Still trying to get out for a few serious shots at the targets, but between my schedule, Maggie's schedule, and the weather, we're not doing too well.
I got the blues as my companion.

Bump. Shooting tomorrow.
Anti: I think some of you gentleman would choose to apply a gun shaped remedy to any problem or potential problem that presented itself? Your reverance (sic) for firearms is maintained with an almost religious zeal. The mind boggles! it really does...

Me: Naw, we just apply a gun-shaped remedy to those extreme life threatening situations that call for it. All the less urgent problems we're willing to discuss.

Bump, and a Bump,....Who won the all expense paid trip to the hidden bunker to pick out the grand prize from MB's safe, a $10,000 gift certificate to Barrett, free ammo from Federal, and a trip to Thunder Ranch?

Oh wait,....wrong tournament.... ;)

The ammo deal is Nosler, see MB's blog.  ;D

From Tom Gresham

MORE FREE AMMO!

Good grief!  You people are fast when you see a good deal.  When Nosler offered a special promotion to Gun Talk listeners on its .308 Match Grade ammo (buy one box, get a second box for free), you jumped on it.  In only a couple of weeks you wiped out Nosler's supply!

But not to worry.  Nosler called us to say they are continuing the offer, but now it's with the very impressive Trophy Grade ammo.  This deal is for the .308 Winchester cartridge loaded with 165-grain AccuBond bullets.  This bonded bullet holds together for great weight retention and penetration, but it also has a very high ballistic coefficient (it's sleek), which means it has a flat trajectory -- great for long shots.  It's also extremely accurate.

I'd hunt any game animal in North America with this load and never look back.  The special deal is the same -- buy one box and get one box free.  Stunning!  But, you have to know the secret code.  Visit Nosler for the offer, and when checking out, put "Guntalk" into the box for the promo code.  A deal this good is enough to make you buy a new rifle in .308, just for the ammo! (Maybe the Nosler Model 48 Custom Sporter that's $800 off right now for Gun Talk listeners who are NRA members? Same Code: Gun Talk).  I don't know how much ammo they have for this promotion, so you may want to move quickly.

Shot in the rain. Stunk - that's what I get for not shooting at least every two weeks. Has the charity been determined yet?
