Title: The quaker is weak and easy!
Post by: fightingquaker13 on September 27, 2010, 01:29:50 PM
I have ended my pellet gun search. I blame what I have done entirely on you people! Enablers, the lot of you, with no sympathy for a man's disease! I'm talking to you CJ, and all of you on the airsoft thread. >:( >:( >:( ;D
I have ordered two new toys. I got an el cheapo $20 battery powered semi-auto airsoft that looks vaguely M@Pish. Its low powered, 140 fps, so it should be good for in the house practice. We will see. If it sucks, no biggie.
On the toad and iguana front, I just couldn't help myself. It was wrong. It was ill advised, but how could I say no? Damn you CJ! ;D
I ordered a remanufactured Umarex STEEL STORM (it has to be in all caps, or the silliness factor doesn't come through ;D). Anyway, I will now have a full auto BB machine gun that shoots 6 round bursts at 600rpms at 430fps. It may or may not be enough gun for the big lizards, but damn it will be fun! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
FQ13 who will post a range report for both upon delivery.

Here's  the STEEL STORM
Watch the video (in the upper left hand corner) and tell me you could resist for 55 bucks. ;D

Quaker, let us know how that "Steel Storm" runs. For $75.00 bucks that could take care of my Pigeon problem!  Bill T.

$55 if you buy remanufactured from airgundepot.com. Apparently its a defective product that was returned. They put in all new internals. The outside is the only thing used. It seems like an easy way to save 30 percent.

Didn't the Bat fags (BATF) get their collective panties in a knot because an airgun could be made full auto fire?

I'm guessing this is legal since everyone and their dog is selling it. Usually around $80. Its that other mod, oh, what could that be? ;) That is unfortunatelly illegal. >:(

I think the reason for the 6 shot burst is to keep the CO 2 system from freezing up. When that happens the O-Rings start cracking. I had this happen to a Daisy CO 2-200 BB Pistol I had as a kid. It had a 5 shot magazine, and if you shot it rapid fire the CO 2 cartridge would freeze up in no time, causing the O Rings to become hard and crack. These guns all work much the same, and there is no way to exhaust CO 2 from these cartridges without refrigeration taking place. The big full auto guns use massive CO 2 supplies like the paint ball weapons to prevent this. I'm sure otherwise the conversion would work. There was a BB Machine Gun for sale in the 70's that used hardware store 1 pound canisters of Freon 12 that were avaliable before we got concerned about the people of Peru getting an unwanted Sun tan.  Bill T.

Excellent! Did I just waste my money or is it as cool as it seems? I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I cannot wait for the Big Brown Truck of Happiness! ;D Its silly, but I haven't looked forward to getting a new gun this much in a while. I guess its the pure silliness factor. ;D
FQ13 who will have to buy a teal Tee shirt and a white jacket. Maybe a Bren 10 just in case of a charge by a wounded iguana. 8) 8) 8) 8)

I bought one of the Drozd, Russian guns about 4 years ago, it works, I can't remember it ever malfunctioning, and as soon as let someone shoot it, it just " where did you get it? and where can I get one " now for the warning, these things are accurate enough, you need to be cool about your bb trap, for years I have used old towels, doubled over hung on wooden rods in a card board box, with usually 3 rods, that is the thickness of at least 6 towels, never been a problem, until you shoot full auto, with something, that at bb gun distance, keeps penetrating the same spot, I have made it  rip through all the towels and out the back of the box. If you own a Drozd, there are some guys out there selling replacement circuit boards, that up it to 1200 rpm.

I have it in storage, but need to get it out and take pictures, I have a BB gun trap that is furniture, made in Georgia in the 50's and is mediterranian in design cabinet, open the doors and inside is a tiger striped spongy cloth, with a black aiming circle, front lighted and as you shoot the target, it drops the BB's into the lower drawer to reuse. It is a real piece of history, custom made for some well to do in the past, how I'm come up with this weird stuff. But if you walked in, you would never believe what it is, it even has a suction fan, that I can only guess is to make the cloth move.

Here is the video that sold me. This is straight up Sonny Crockett style. 8) I hope it works, if not, I will blame it on growing up in South Florida in the late eighties. This is my leetle friend. ;D ;D ;D
I only need the sail boat, speed boat, Ferrari and hot girfriend to seal the deal. Hell, I'd settle for a Bren 10. :-\
FQ13 who is ROFL. Death to Iguanas! Machete my ass! ;D

Hey FQ!  Don't know if you are a cigar smoker, but I saw this and thought it would make a great Victory Smoke after the impending Fauna Massacre in your back yard.   ;D ;D ;D
