cocker spaniel. still waiting for more. the vet is on the way over to check her out and make sure all is well.

Cockers are the best natured dogs for family's that there is.
-
Heh-heh....Heh-heh....she said, "Cocker"...Heh-heh.
On my way to the corner.

To be a pedant, I think the usage you were looking for was "families that there are." But you are still wrong. Beagle puppies are the best for families. And setter puppies are good too.

My vote would be for Labs, but my experience is limited.
one thing I do know is when the subject is Puppies, breed doesn't matter ;D

you're right. she tangled up with some mutt. maybe lab or retriever, not sure as I wasn't here. but the pups are still pups. and anybody that doesn't like pups or kittens is evil. ;D
well, just 4 pups, but all healthy and active. 2 black and 2 white. cute little buggers. :D my dog's first litter, so I have to keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn't crush any etc... will keep updating as this goes along.
Oh, and Cockers... I love them. good fun and very active, good with family. mine doesn't know whether to bark at a stranger or lick 'em. sweet natured and very loyal. though I'm not above owning other breeds, maybe a border collie or lab. but where I live now I don't have a decent yard to let them loose in.

Deepwater, now I see why Hazcat enjoys your visits. It's not your company he looks forward to, it's your beautiful wife! Congratulations on the fine catch, oh yeah, and the puppies, as well. :)

he hasn't actually seen her in person. Mili has never left Peru, but the promise of a future visit keeps him on his toes. ;D
hope she'll coming to the states soon.

FQ13 Good luck with the litter. Just send them to Haz, not me. I have one dog and that is enough.

Don't worry FQ, He wants them to live on food, not term papers and furniture legs ;D
(Why, NO, I will not let you forget that little incident with the Doctoral thesis ;D )

I know not of which you speak.
I wasn't there.
If I was there, I didn't do it.
If I did it, I was drunk. ;D

Yes, there were three 'puppies' in that second pic. ;)

For the record, I'd like to be there to witness the "laying on of hands"... just to assure my fellow gun-loving web-crawlers that it's been done in the proper fashion. I have no prurient interest whatsoever in this sort of behavior.
You can reach me in the corner. (sigh)

No need for that. Just go to the corner and we can talk about proper language usage. It is not right that I, an engineer of all things, should catch a smart lady like you with a minor in English in an error in print. I make many language errors, just ask my wife the ex-teacher. Sigh, I have spent too many years correcting college papers and tests for me not to call for the red pencil. ;)
I am on my way to the corner now. I hope there is still some craft beer left.

all puppies are good! :D
oh yeah, the pups are doing well, looks like they'll grow up nice and healthy. (hard not to pick them up every time we walk by the 'nursery') must let them rest and feed and rest and feed.........

You mean like this?
Not quite a puppy anymore (3yo) But never lost the puppy face (or demeanor)

Golden retrievers. ;D

she wanted to keep 'em all the day they were born. now she's remembering how much trouble the first dog was. she didn't do too well with the house training and all the puppy stuff.

To bad they're not in Florida, I'd take one off your hands for the kids Christmas.

if it wasn't for the bureaucratic bs involved with transporting a pet I would bring one with me when I return (would have been 3 days late)

Yes, exactly. Sadie is a pretty girl. You are a good man JC.

I will add though that (like most women) she knows she's cute, and flaunts it to get what she wants. Of course I'm powerless to resist. ;D

Golden retrievers. ;D
I like all pups but I have to agree about the Goldens.
This one has me wrapped around her paw...
-
Nothing in the world cuter than a bird dog puppy. Golden, lab, cocker or pointer. But God are they a PITA for the first year or so! Its why they are so cute. If they weren't, they wouldn't survive! ;D

Boy is that the truth!
One Golden had the brain switch turn on at 2. Another one didn't have the brain switch kick on till 4!! (he turned out to be one of the best dogs I have ever been around)

They are great with kids too, except for that club sticking out their butt ;D

Our three month old Bella the Beagle is a princess too. She has worked her way into our hearts, make that taken over our hearts. But we have room in our hearts for our two setters as well. The 14 year old Gordon Setter is the Queen of the palace and our 2 year old English Setter is sweet and the best bird dog ever. The setters were cute lovey puppies too. The Gordon was born in our house to her field champion mama. [It is not a brag, just a fact. LOL] In their own way they are all spoiled -- not my fault of course. ;) ;D

spoiled? or in control? ;) any critter we accept as family is treated in a way that makes most kids jealous, unless it's the kids that spoil them. ;D
as I said before, some may not like dogs or cats, maybe even hate them. but those that can't look at any puppy or kitten and just melt is evil and will pay for their sins. ;D (someone famous must have said something like it before, I'm sure)

Spoiled. is the correct word. They don't jump on guests, check crotches, beg at the table or that sort of bad. They do come when called, Kennel on command, sit and so on. But they do get lots of loving, sit on the furniture with us, get lots of treats. go for rides in the car, AND, if they are good they get to go hunting at least once a week.

almost want to keep them until you remember how hard it is to train the first one we had. when they start to be a pain in the butt we'll give them to their new owners. ;D
