My own matching set of nukes.

NO bs, you most likly have all the skills needed to build a nuke.  There is not a college ( or hs for that matter) in the US that does not have all the info you need other then say the design.  The hard part is getting fissonable material.  Then again between yourself and people you know at work, you most likly have all the skills needed to make a centerfuge.  All you would really need is a design and stuff to run in it.

Hell all you really need is two sub critcal mass chunks and strong arms to make a nuke.  Granted it won't make a big boom( if one at all), but you will throw raidation all over the place.

Kind of scary huh?

A lot of the major US colleges have nuclear reactors. Why do you need to make a dirty bomb when its allready there.
I remember a 60mins story on how woeful the security was on campuses they just walked in off the street basically and a lot of the was allowed in to the reactor room with out any bags being searched. Sorta makes you wonder why they carry on about sending firearm components to allied countries like Australia when they have foreign exchange kids allowed access to reactors and people can walk in off the street doesnt it.

PS
I want peace and quiet for xmas and to sleep in!

My wish list is short and sweet.

From Bravo Company I want a BCM BFH 16" Mid Length Barrel, Stripped.

From MagPul I want a set of MBUS in FDE and a few Pmags.

and from Daniel Defense I want an AR15 Lite Rail™ 10.0, Mid-length Extended.

This would allow me to finish my current build thewn I can start shooting it.

make sure its legal to hunt with...

lots of states have restrictions on cal.   CA for example has a .20+ rule OR has a .22 law.

I live in Mayberry cow town USA.. we don't need much legal here to do anything.  ;D
I won't hunt with it..( not REAL hunt)  I want a rifle.. not a pistol.. and I need it to not be too awful  loud.. I want it to shoot possums and critters at night.. I live in town ( if that is what you call it..LOL) and I could probably get by with shooting a 22 with CB caps.. but...I'd rather have the pellet rifle...

You want a BB gun? I'll make you one heck of a deal on a darn cool one. I bought a Umarex STEEL STORM!!!!! select fire BB gun. I apologize for the all caps, but Dr. Freud was in the house when they named that thing. ;D  Anyway its select fire. Single shot semi auto or full auto 5 round burst mode at about 430 fps (good for rats, too light for possums). The thing is a blast. Downside is its too loud for my suburban neighborhood.  I've barely shot it, but I love the thing. Its just that if I can't shoot it in the backyard its no good to me. They look like a mini uzi or tech 9.
New, they go for $80. I bought a reconditioned one from Airgun Depot for $56. I'll throw in a bunch of BBs and free shipping for $50. It really is a very cool toy, and surprisingly accurate. I just need something a little more low profile for backyard plinking. If you're intereted PM me. As always, if you don't like it, send it back for a full refund. And let the barn rats beware!
Here's the link to the description.
If you want a rifle, check out the link and look at the reconditioned RWS guns. They are lifetime shooters, and plenty enough in .22 to take a possum or coon. Ditto with the gamos, but they are plastic guns and I like the steel and wood of the RWS. My RWS 34 (.22 at 800 fps) has killed plenty of tree rats and a few possums.

see here we can hunt things like turkeys, tree rats, rabbits with a pellet gun.  Its actually very nice, you don't have to worry about your shots going several hundred yards and killing some one.

now I won't say I have done this, but lets just say when I'm killing pests none of the people around complain about noise...

Have you though about what kind of pellet rifle you want?  break barrel, PCP, CO2... etc.   PCP is by far the most powerful, but you pay for it.
break barrel is great for hunting, but can but can be a bad thing for pest control( they hear you rack it)  CO2 gets expensive.

So I seriously dabbled in this for a while and what I got was a Weihrauch HW77  in .22.

Sturdy, well made German technology.   Top it with your favorite sights....make sure they'll withstand the recoil!   Mine has a 5-15x-40 power.  And yes, when I'm popping field mice out to 25yds the 15x really helps.

.22 for the larger weight pellet and because it's be sub-sonic.   Lot's of the high powered .177 are supersonic and will give you a sonic crack.

Underlever.....ready to shoot with one pump of the lever but with the accuracy of a fixed barrel.

CO2 means having to keep the cartridges available.   And they can leak after awhile.   Pumps are a pain.  PCP requires lots of accessories...extremely accurate though.

The next step up is the HW97, imported by Beeman.

Just buy it. You won't regret it. I've had my RWS 34 for almost 20 years and no complaints. Airgun depot is a reputable company. Buying a .22 is the way to go as they hit a lot harder than .177. The .54 is nice, but you're paying for a lot of stuff you'll never notice in a field gun. Just be sure you get an airgun scope as the recoil on a spring piston can trash a nice piece of glass as it goes forwards and backwards.  Have fun, and as always, don't shoot your eye out. ;D

I just called airgun depot and asked about their warranty. For a refurbished gun it's 30 days and on a new RWS it's a lifetime. I'd rather spend twice as much for the new one and have peace of mind.

P.S. It was the model 52 I was really interested in, not the 54. I don't need a recoilless airgun. I think I can handle the kick.  ;D  Maybe I'll get a 52 or 48 package with the scope. I don't know.

TAB, I just got back to this thread, I know how easy it is to build a nuke.
Basically all you have to do is drop 1/2 of your critical mass on the other 1/2 and you get your boom.
The only thing that is a challenge to aspiring countries is acquiring the nuclear material, that is why countries like Iran and NK first build a legitimate power plant, then they build the centrifuge cascade to "Enrich" the uranium from spent fuel rods.

The wife asked me the other day what I wanted for Christmas.  When I suggested she could just tie a ribbon on a b*** j** she rolled her eyes and left the room.  Why don't women understand that if you don't want to hear the answer you shouldn't ask the question?

Hopefully there's enough leftover turkey in the corner to make a sandwich.

I really doubt you'll need the warranty, but I understand. However, you might want to check with RWS. I'm not sure what their policy is. I've bought a lot of used stuff over the years that came with a life time warranty to the original purchaser. When I sent it in for repair, no one ever asked if I'd bought it used.

PS the recoiless bit is for accuracy. Its supposed to reduce muzzle vibration. Almost all serious compeitition rifles come that way.

Trust me you don't want a tankless.

I've installed dozens of them, not only are they gas hogs,( requiring more gas then the average house) they are only about 80% eff. and you still have the volume of the pipes before you get warm water.

I have a recircilating system now. IMO thats the best bang for the buck.

If I wanted a green system, I'd go with a hybrid solar and tank unit.  The solar handles all but the last 10-20 degrees.  which the tank handles.

I installed a tank less boiler (heating oil) back in the 90's into my house in CT.  It was actually very efficient compared to what I replaced.  The savings from NOT using electricity to make hot water was pretty high and I'd replaced a forty year old dinosaur of a boiler.

Then, oil was about 80 cents a gallon, I paid $3.30/gallon a couple of weeks ago to fill my tank......basically, a thousand bucks right before Christmas.....gotta love New England winters!

There are onyl 2 reasons large companys do anything:
1 make more money
2 they have to by law.

When I moved to MA back in 96, I rented a 50 gal industrial water heater, fully insulated with all the piping wrapped for about 10 bucks a month.  It was WAY cheaper than buying an efficient water heater from the local joint.

It crapped out once and they were there the next day to replace it.

I live in Mayberry cow town USA.. we don't need much legal here to do anything.  ;D
I won't hunt with it..( not REAL hunt)  I want a rifle.. not a pistol.. and I need it to not be too awful  loud.. I want it to shoot possums and critters at night the little rat bastard who lives in my Halloween decorations box in the barn.. I live in town ( if that is what you call it..LOL) and I could probably get by with shooting a 22 with CB caps.. but...I'd rather have the pellet rifle...

FIFY    ;D

I thought of something else.. I want a nice par of field glasses.. and also in Bed bath and Beyond there is this 3 crock pot cooker that plugs in and all 3 crock pots are separate but all hooked together .. Its cool as hell..... as much as I go and take food , it would be awesome..
( ok.. that is all I can think of for now.. but I'm sure I'll think of more later.. ) LOL
