New cars are great exercise.  You park them a half a mile from the door at the mall or market to avoid door dings and shopping cart scratches.  Sadly they lose their virginity all too soon.

Fancy bits = GPS, satellite radio, entertainment center, Bluetooth, voice recognition, etc?

Congrats on the nice looking new wheels.

Then, as if the vehicle was magnetic, you find some idiot parked right next to you when you come out. I can't count the times this has happened to me. About the same amount as when you are on cruise control on the freeway with all but no traffic, and some clown comes up in the lane right next to you and parks at 70 MPH. Usually right in your blind spot.    >:(    Bill T.

So, you went with this? What'sa madda, were they out of the 2012 Bogan in the color you wanted? ? ? ? ?  ;D

Enjoy. I have had more than a few brand new cars - never again. I do not like losing 30% of the car's value as I drive it off the lot. But buying new is a wonderful feeling everyone should experience at least once. Congrats, Philw and Philw's wife!

I was waiting for the ex wife at the mall one day and watched a shopping cart roll half way across the parking lot, (75yds +/- ) to hit the side of a car with 10 plates (brand new,)    ;D

How many carts did it take you to score a hit?   :o

That was the part that got me laughing, some little old lady pushed it over near the collection point for them, but not right into the little corral. it started rolling and granny wasn't going to catch it so she just let it go, how far can a shopping cart go on a fairly flat parking lot anyway.
Well the answer to that is "far enough".  ;D

hehe yep,  I wanted Black,  she wanted silver or Blue,  so we went blue ( was not easy to get, one of the last ones in that blue

also the 2012 model is out in a few months  not a lot  changing really apart from a little different blue,  and the hatch version

going this one so we don't have to wait..

yep,  we don't get Sat Radio here though
GPS, DVD, Premium Audio Bluetooth, Reverse park sensor's leather heated front seats.  keyless entry and start, ( has a push button to unlock the car  when you are with in a meter of it with the key )

Having been married for roughly 100 years, I too am familiar with being outvoted 1-1.  ;D

Black is the most beautiful color for a car when it is all washed and polished.

No color is more striking, mysterious and dynamic looking on a car.

This lasts for 7 to 10 minutes after each wash (unless you drive it, at which time the conversion happens immediately) until ambient atmospheric dust settles on it and makes it look dingy grey and unkempt....tempting kids to scribble  "WASH ME" on it's side.

We have a very democratic system in my house.

Each of the three kids got 1 vote.
SWMBO got 4
and I got 8.

Alf
(oh, and SWMBO got veto power too)

WAIT WAIT!   THIS STORY JUST IN

Carrying 5 gallon buckets of paint in the back seat resulted in driver and passenger being covered in paint due to a car accident.  The ambulance driver had to stop and resuscitate his assistant who passed out from laughing so hard.

You will find traces of this attribute, to some degree, in every woman who enters your life.
