« on: August 23, 2011, 10:28:40 AM »
very excited,

getting a new car very soon
this is the first ever brand new car the Mrs and I have ever got

it is a Holden ( Chev ) Cruze SRi-V  ( the one with all the fancy bits )
this is built here in South Aust,  they used to import the Cruzes however with the series 2 they make them here now,

the window tinting ( 35% ) is getting done tomorrow,  and all going well we pick it up Friday
can not wait...

New cars are great exercise.  You park them a half a mile from the door at the mall or market to avoid door dings and shopping cart scratches.  Sadly they lose their virginity all too soon.

Fancy bits = GPS, satellite radio, entertainment center, Bluetooth, voice recognition, etc?

Congrats on the nice looking new wheels.

Then, as if the vehicle was magnetic, you find some idiot parked right next to you when you come out. I can't count the times this has happened to me. About the same amount as when you are on cruise control on the freeway with all but no traffic, and some clown comes up in the lane right next to you and parks at 70 MPH. Usually right in your blind spot.    >:(    Bill T.

So, you went with this? What'sa madda, were they out of the 2012 Bogan in the color you wanted? ? ? ? ?  ;D

Enjoy. I have had more than a few brand new cars - never again. I do not like losing 30% of the car's value as I drive it off the lot. But buying new is a wonderful feeling everyone should experience at least once. Congrats, Philw and Philw's wife!

I was waiting for the ex wife at the mall one day and watched a shopping cart roll half way across the parking lot, (75yds +/- ) to hit the side of a car with 10 plates (brand new,)    ;D

That was the part that got me laughing, some little old lady pushed it over near the collection point for them, but not right into the little corral. it started rolling and granny wasn't going to catch it so she just let it go, how far can a shopping cart go on a fairly flat parking lot anyway.
Well the answer to that is "far enough".  ;D
