I saw an article on the Colorado one the other day.  The medical dealers were worried that it would actually negatively affect them and pot in CO.  The theory is that it will bring even more federal attention.  Since it's already a federal crime, they could get in trouble with the feds.

Don't ask for a source.  I don't have it.  I'm still in a bit of shock.  I don't have a woman  :'(; so, I'll just have to cuddle with my AR tonight.  ;)

Let's all break out the Cheetos, get "glassy-eyed" and maybe the next four years will just roll on by.

Seriously, I know this is just a small issue compared to what he nation is facing, but a little levity might lighten the mood.

*As a side note I hear Romney on TV conceding in the background.  :(

Media is leftist and dishonest.  Dems are dishonest.  Economy is going to tank....they will probably stick it on Bush.

You cannot win an unfair election and by countering lies with truth.  Politiians need to learn that you shout down the lies and refuse to discuss anthing further and walk out if the lie is allowed to stand.  The stupid RINO's still think they are in a debate and a fair fight.

We are devolving into a nation run by city-states that are headed by lying tyrants and foolish sheep who think they can hide.

Time to dump the electoral college.  Time to split up states so that the liberals do not control so many senate seats.....wishful thinking.  The thugs will not give up power by being fair....thugs never do respond to kindness other than to laugh at the chumps.

Might be a bit brave to think we'll have another election.

I agree........

But they look after themselves first:

Quote
Reference sources indicate that over the past 200 years, over 700 proposals have been introduced in Congress to reform or eliminate the Electoral College. There have been more proposals for Constitutional amendments on changing the Electoral College than on any other subject. The American Bar Association has criticized the Electoral College as “archaic” and “ambiguous” and its polling showed 69 percent of lawyers favored abolishing it in 1987. But surveys of political scientists have supported continuation of the Electoral College. Public opinion polls have shown Americans favored abolishing it by majorities of 58 percent in 1967; 81 percent in 1968; and 75 percent in 1981.

If you want to see where your states are headed, just take a look at Maryland's election results. As a result of Democrat gerrymandering after the last census, we are down to one Republican in Congress (1 in the House and none in the Senate). I was gerrymandered out of my Republican district and placed in a 2-1 Democrat majority district. My former Republican representative in my old district lost his re-election bid in a now Democrat dominated district as well. At the state level the Republican Party is dead, vastly outnumbered by state senators and delegates and, of course, the governor is posturing himself for sainthood to replace BHO in 2016. All of the referendum questions on the ballot that I opposed were approved by the voters here: same sex marriage, illegal alien dream act, gerrymandered districts (mine), expansion of gambling before we have even constructed two of the five previously approved and charter government (more expensive) for my county. My state has effectively ignored and delayed implementation of the recent federal judge declaration it illegal to restrict CCW and open carry and I am sure this will have to go the Supreme Court for resolution. The Supreme Court with a pussy-whipped Chief Justice Roberts is now suspect, even before Obama gets to appoint the next justice.

That's what's coming for you boys. We have ceded to the Democrats enough minority (black and latino), gay and white female members to create a coalition strong enough to overcome concerns for bankruptcy and joblessness. Given the state of this country there is no other reason why the Republicans should have lost this election. The proletariat have spoken and our response is?

Quite honestly that is about the only option there is left.

I guess each state has laws on how their Electoral College delegates have to vote, but when I was in high school, the EC were independent and, while expected to reflect the popular vote, could go their own way.

If that is still the case anywhere, they could all vote for Romney.

I wonder if that would cause a stir?

Well I don't think I'll smoke but I do plan on more ammo and drinking more.  I fear the country is lost to the people with a dependency on the government for a handout.  Obama gets props for handing Sandy and he did nothing.  I think I'll convert my cash and 401k to gold and head to the woods with my armaments, Dillon 550b, reloading components and hunker down.

Where is John Galt?

Would be nice to have that self sufficient community out there someplace....won't be a secret for long though with surveillance being as advanced as it is.

To hell with all of it...I'm going to watch the Zombie episode of Shooting Gallary that is posting here on DRTV.  Then I'm going to load up more AR15 rounds on the 550 just in case.

You hit my tough choices right on the head.

Do I invest my limited funds in more weapons/ammo or home brewing?

I am thinking home brewing.....I already have some guns and ammo.

Isn't there some saying about..

If you give a man a beer,  he's happy for a half an hour, but if you teach him to brew at home he's

but I don't know the rest of it.

Come on out to Washington state or Colorado..

Seattle, Washington (CNN) - Starting in just about a month, some marijuana users in Washington state won't have to hide from the law. "You cannot be arrested for being in possession of an ounce of marijuana."
Last night, Washington became the first state to legalize recreational marijuana use.
Supporters of Initiative-502, as it was called, cheered after the election results.
The new law proposes a steep tax on the drug -- about 40 percent.
Lawmakers say it will take a year to get the tax system set up.
In the meantime, starting December 6-th, it will be legal for anyone over 21 to posses an ounce or less of marijuana.
Some experts suggest the initiative will be challenged in the Supreme Court, since marijuana is still illegal under federal law.
Colorado also passed marijuana legalization last night.

From all that is sounds like you can posses it but not sell it..or maybe you can posses and sell that one oz.?   Not gonna be a lot of tax revenue to collect no matter how high it is taxed

I was never good with house plants, but if the pay was right, I could learn, and they do brew good beer and know how to make good coffee out there. ;D

Professor!  It's a fuggin weed dude!  Put a seed in some decent potting soil, add water, good light 24/7 and keep it from germinating....in about two months it will start to bud and get sticky if it's left alone without a male of the species to spew it's spawn upon the buds.  It helps to start with good seed, not that I know of such things...

It's been that way in Alaska for some time now!  I don't hear of any issues up there...

Here in MA they've legalized it for medical purposes and I've got a nasty case of glaucoma coming on...

That's why field grown Mexican brown was $80 an ounce and Ca green bud was $40 a gram.

I'm aware of the technological advances in the last few decades.  I'm also well aware of how good it was the old fashioned way back in the 70's!  I lived just south of Eureka, CA for two years...  Humbolt County to be exact...

Either way, just about anyone can grow a moderately decent crop with little or no knowledge other than that obtained off the interweb.

A galvanized trash can works well .
If any of you actually intend to engage in such behavior it would behoove you to understand that the Electric and water utilities will report increased usage to local law enforcement agencies.

Not much at all, a typical plant of decent lineage will produce from 1 to 4 ounces of crop.  Really serious growers can produce several pounds out of a single plant.

I stumbled into a field in northern CA thirty years ago that had stalks as big around as my leg, I was skinny then though!   ;D  Serious stuff.  I didn't stick around to greet the owners...

Stumbling into a feild is why I always carry while hiking.  I am not too worried about the odd animal encounter, but finding a field worrys the hell out of me.

The difference being in the 70's the big growers were mostly hippies!  Well armed hippies but hippies none the less.  I knew several on a friend of a friend basis.  After Carter shut down the forests for logging, folks needed to make a living and some decided to grow the largest cash crop in the states history.  Even then it dwarfed the logging industry in dollars.

Today, you have a vast, hardened, criminal element that controls the harvest.
