Title: PegLeg's ??
Post by: PegLeg45 on August 02, 2013, 05:41:31 PM
We went down to a neighboring town to the Harbor Freight store and when exiting the interstate my wife noticed the sign on a restaurant that was shut down.

<<<----- Notice any resemblance??   ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

They have a typo.  It should be PegLeg's with an apostrophe.

Also their logo has a cutlass and you don't.

No wonder it is closed.  The customers were expecting the owner to have two prosthetic legs.

Peg, buy the place, correct the sign and advertise special prices for DRTV Forum members   ;D ;D

Yep..... the missing punctuation was the first thing I noticed when my wife pointed out the place to begin with...... THEN I noticed the picture.

My original sig pic had the cutlass, along with all the other things shown........ over a period of time, it 'morphed' into the current version with a little help from me and my editing software...... I kinda think the two 1911's work better for me.

I like that Indiana Jones scene.

I have 3 friends, two a couple who saw the movie together and a third who saw it independently and the couple did not k now the third person.

All three of them said that when they saw the scene, the thought that's what Vince would do.

Not so impressive that I'd do it...anyone carrying a gun at a time like that would be a fool not to...but it was nice that they were reminded of me  ;D

Indeed.  :D

Many years ago I was trying to talk down a fight between a good friend and a guy who had been harassing him after a illicit contest of speeding vehicles.
The guy turned and told me to butt out or I might "get my fat ass cut."
My friend calmly said, "He'll have his .45 pointed at your guts and the safety off before you get the blade fully opened."
For some reason, it all ended there.

isn't it fun how a gun pointed at some one can change things in a heart beat?

This reminds me of a quote from Clint Smith, that goes something like this, "Whether you say halt, alto, or whatever, I've found that a large caliber handgun aimed at the head is a pretty universal language."

There are three universal languages. Sex, money and violence. Spoken everywhere.

And while I'm at it, I found the photo that someone had inquired about a while back with the robo-leg holster:

Because it works out better than a steel gun and a plastic leg  ;D ;D

Mostly carbon fiber, titanium, and aluminum.......... I'd like a gun constructed with those items in the right places...... light and strong.  :D

TAB, they quit making Ti guns about 5 years ago when the Chinese drove the price through the roof.
If you have one it is worth more in scrap value than companies can charge for the guns.
It's why they came out with Scandium.

which is a al alloy.  I know several guys with TI 1911  way too much for my blood.  You can buy 2  top of the line les baers for the price.  There is a barret and a AI on the list before i get to a ti 1911.
