Wow, fun stuff. It must be cool to live somewhere where you can get a gun you haven't even seen yet.

;D ;D ;D I should be getting my Bersa Thunder 380 on Monday. being in a foreign country makes it interesting when trying to buy a gun. lucky for me, as soon as I have legal residency I can own and carry a handgun, the good part is that I don't have to jump through any more hoops than a citizen does. It's still a apin in the but. I need a permit for any and all guns I buy, but a permit is good for conceled carry as well. 8) Soooooo..... I've done all I can until my background check comes in (sometime on or soon after Monday) and then I go down to the licensing agency to do a Psych eval :P and a practical test (shooting). I will put some pics up as soon as I get the gun in hand. I wasn't looking for anything specific, but the choices here are fairly slim. so considering choice, prices etc.... this looked like the best thing goin'. it also feels nice, not to heavy and the dealer hooked me up with some new grips for it. so wish me luck dealing with the beurocrats, and I''ll have some info for you soon.
oh yeah, as I said, I live in Peru, anybody looking to head this way for a vacation let me know, we have a spare room...

Slick aren't they! And pretty darn inexpensive too.
The TOK shoots beautifully and is well balanced. The trigger is smooth with some take up and a clean break. I would guess no more than 4 lbs MAX (most likely around 3 - 3.5)!

We talked about this over coctails for quite awhile, and had I not had a wife waiting for me at home I could have waited around 'til it arrived, but I think it was wisest I return home. (crazy, psycho latina girl) ;D but I did get to play with the Tok. :D

I was just looking for manuals, exploded views etc... for the MN 91/30 and came across some other forums that were talking about them. man, some people are stupid. I'm glad this forum exists. most of the responses on the other forums were from bleeding heart liberals. you know, dumbocrats. I almost singed up to some of these just to give them hell, but my time is much too important to waste on a$$ clowns. :P anyway, makes me appreciate you guys so much more. ;D

I just laughed so hard I had a stroke... or a brain anueysm. Ow. More rum will make it ALL better. ;) I would try to help with the psych eval but when I cheated on one, things turned out worse than if I had let them find me insane. I stayed up all night studying for a urine test too. I'm not the brightest crayon in the box. ;D My advice is to never take my advice. Except this time.

7.62x25mm Tokarev
5.8 g (90 gr) FMJ 409 m/s (1,340 ft/s) 488 J (360 ft·lbf)
Pretty good round never had the chance to shoot one, but the gun looks very similar to a Colt 1903 in my opinion.

Haz, he's your friend. How could you mention "wood" in the very next picture of his wife, the one you described as SEXY HOT or something like that.
On the money tho . . . 8)

Never fired the 7.62 but had several Norinco model 213's same pistol chambered in 9mm X 19 not the Mak. you can still find them around for $250 or less.

my hew toy... Bersa Thunder .380 I just got my ccw and was able to pick it up today. here you have to have a carry permit BEFORE you can buy a gun. then you have to get permits for anything you buy later as well.. rifle, shotgun. etc.... anyway, nice trigger and it feels nice..
-
Don't pick on Haz too much, my soon to be fellow Floridian has a covert training facility that my satellites have been monitoring. (Amazing what you can get when you point those DirectTV dishes at,.....nevermind).. ::)
I understand it will be the premiere facility in the South. ;D
(http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm182/twyacht/d.jpg)
Ancient Secrets of the Orient are also part of training, 5 paw death scratch is also available for those that qualify.
For those with real skills there's this world known marksman, :P
(http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/mm182/twyacht/poster.jpg)
So you "right wing bullies" better be careful. ;D
