I ordered some more flashlights and stuff from Olight on the 15th. They're celebrating their 17th year, and everyone got a Dream Blue i3E EOS Keychain AAA Flashlight with their order. They're 90 lumens and I have a some in other colors already. One color I don't have is Zombie Green. I watch zombie movies and TV shows but I'm not into zombie equipment.

I ordered a combo deal with a new Racing Stripes Arkfeld Pro Flat EDC Flashlight with LED Light, UV and Laser, and the new i17 Checkered Flag USB-C Rechargeable EDC Keychain Flashlight. It's like the orange one I have on my key ring. If the Arkfeld Pro is on and switched to laser, you can double click the power button to turn the white light on at the same time too.

This is new to celebrate their 17th anniversary. It has a nice texture to it. It has a a maximum output of 180 lumens.

They had a "build your own bundle" again, where if you buy 1 item you get 30% off, and if you buy 2 oor more you get 40% off. One thing I got was a PL-3S Valkyrie Rail Mount Light. This is different from my other one that has a combination spot/flood, but it's brighter. It has a max output of 1,000 lumens and a max throw of 200 meters, as well as a 200-lumen low mode.

To complete my bundle I bought 2 IMR16340 / RCR123A Battery rechargeable lithium batteries.
https://www.olightstore.com/imr16340-cr123a-battery
And they had Otacle Utility Sets of 10 SK2 Steel utility knife blades on sale for 99 cents instead of $5.99 so I grabbed a bunch of them. I threw away the beat up old blade I was using, cleaned up the 1 blade I had left in my Stanley knife, and put 10 on these in the handle. I'm going to used the empty container to put my old blades in instead of wrapping them in cardboard and taping them up like I did with the last one. I didn't have a jar with a lid in the trash that week or I would have tossed it in there to be safe.

Neither of my multi-tools have scissors on them so I bought an Otacle P1S EDC Tool. The Otacle P1 has pliers but the P1S has scissors. I used the little key ring loop on it to attach a regular key ring and hang it on my EDC flashlight/tool holster.

The Headband for Perun 2 Mini flashlight was on sale for $1.99 instead of $3.99 so I bought one. I don't have one of those flashlights, but it looks like the free Harbo Freight flashihjts would fit perfectly if thet weren't already in weapons mounts. Then you can put the light on the side of your head instead of the front like this one. I like being able to use a free flashlight instead of a $64.99 flashlight, but I'll probably give the headband to my friend who has a small light clipped to his hat. The batteries don't last as long on those little lights as they do on bigger lights, and they aren't very bright.

I was going to order 10 packages of the utility knife blades. I saw that I ordered enough stuff to get a free i5T EOS EDC Flashlight, either Black or Pumpkin Stains. I took 1 package of blades out of my cart and still had just enough to get the free flashlight. I ended up getting another Pumpkin Stains, like one of the lights I gave away for Christmas. Since this is an i5T, and not an i5R, it doesn't come with a rechargeable battery. It's only supposed to use a AA battery, but will take a lithium battery nade for the other flashlight and put out more light. It has a max output of 300 lumens and a max throw of 60 meters. But the R versions with their customized 14500 lithium-ion battery and built-in USB-C charging interface have a max output of 350 lumens and a max throw of 64 meters. I'll give a package of blades to 3 of my friend and still have 6 for myself. It's not likely that I'll use all of them in this lifetime, but they're there if I do. You never know when I might get the urge to shingle a shed or something where I need spare blades to do some cutting. Or to attach them to a bat to use as a zombie weapon. ;)

I got a Magpul Night of the Living PMAG Long Sleeve Halloween Bundle for Halloween, or an after Halloween sale, I can't remember which. Last night I shined the UV light of my Arkfeld Pro on the front of the shirt and it really lit up. The hand was bright white. After maybe half a minute I shut my flashlight off and it was REALLY glowing. I think the UV light charges up the glow in the dark pigments better than white light does. The UV lights everything up in fluorescent colors, even when some things that didn't look like they were fluorescent.

Here are my Olight Baton 3 Premium Edition with charger, Baton 3 Pro Desert Tan, Baton 3 Pro Roadster Edition, and Baton 3 Pro Max Brass Stonewash, which was limited to 5,000 worldwide. Those last 2 sold out already. They're 1,200 lumens, 1,500 lumens, and 2,500 lumens. Here's how much they all weigh. There was a limited edition Baton 3 Pro Max Desert Tan color made of Magnesium that was 1/2 ounce lighter than the aluminum versions, 4.73 ounces, and my brass one weighs 8.25 ounces. That's one heck of a difference. That's even worse than the difference between my i3T EOS Zirconium EDC Flashlight at 2.26 oz and the identical size i3T EOS Small Flashlight in aluminum at 1.45 oz and i3T EOS Carbon Fiber Flashlight at 1.46 oz. Those take 1 AAA battery.
The Baton 3 uses a 3.7V IMR16340 Rechargeable Lithium Battery, the same size as a CR123A or 123 battery. I found out one day 123 = 2/3 A. They're the same diameter as an A battery, not AA or AAA, but 2/3 the length and twice the voltage. 17 × 34.5mm instead of 17 x 50mm. The Baton 3 Pros use a 3200mAh 18650 Rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, and the Baton 3 Pro Max uses a 3.6V 5000mAh 21700 Rechargeable lithium-ion battery! It's my first flashlight to use a 21700 battery. The charger case will recharge the baton 3 3.7 times without being recharged. The brass flashlight (8.25 oz.) is heavier than the 2 regular size lights together (7.26 oz.), and it's a lot heavier than the little flashlight plus it's charger case (5.89 oz.). It's 0.88 ounces lighter than all 3 of the other flashlights combined. If it wasn't a limited edition and on sale I wouldn't have bought that heavy son-of-a-gun, but I don't plan on carrying it. It's hanging on an L-Stand on 1 side of the bed, and the Desert Tan 1 is hanging on the other side.
The Baton 3 Pro Max has a proximity sensor can dim the brightness automatically when the light is blocked by a nearby object to avoid overheating. If you want to turn off the proximity sensor temporarily or permanently it tells you how in the user manual. It has a shake awake feature for checking the battery level that none of my other flashlights have, and it helps you find the side switch in the dark since the battery indicator is right in the middle of the switch. It will run up to 60 days straight in the 1 lumen moonlight mode, and more than 5 hours on high (800 lumens). It has 5,295 candela with a beam distance of 475 ft (145 meters). If I remember I'll take it camping and have it right next to me in my tent. A double-click puts it on Turbo and a triple-click puts it on Strobe, even from the off position. If a bear tries coming in my tent, I'll be the last thing it sees for awhile. ;)
-
Stop. Just stop it. You’re screwing with my purchase priority list so bad.
Do like the multi tool with scissors. That might bubble up in the next time I have spare dollar or two list.
-
I just wait for stuff to go on sale then go nuts. :D Olight had some new product announcements during the NRA annual meetings and all the new stuff was on sale including their new rechargeable red dot and green dot sights. I got an Olantern Stretch so I can quit lugging around the lantern I have with 2 fluorescent tubes and 2 6 volt lantern batteries. If you want the light to spread father, all you need to do is stretch it out.

I'm wary of Olight after the plastic battery-cover on a PL-1 II Valkyrie crumbled into dust in a duffel bag, no stress or load or anything beyond sitting in a bag on an AR pistol under my bed for a year.

:o :o :o So far I haven't had any problems but haven't had anything very long. They have a lifetime warranty now in the U.S. and a few other countries, and are expanding it to more and more countries. Either they're confident in their products, or know how cheap it is to replace them. I'm not sure which, but everything I have looks well made, not like typical Chinese jumk. I'll see how the Valkyrie PL Turbo holds up on my RIA-USA VRF-14. I had a NcStAR VISM Pro Series Flashlight 500 Lumen Rail Mount on it, that never worked at all after one day of shooting. I may get some shooting in during the week of the 4th of July, but also want to shoot one of my AR-15s and won't have much time to do both and do any four-wheeling. I need to test fire some new ammo in my Para-Ordnance 12.45 LDA too.

Double-action 1911?
LDA -- Light Double Action. The slide pre-cocks it by way of a cocking cam attached to the hammer, part #55 in the diagram. Pulling the trigger only has to cock it the rest of the way and fire it. Just like a striker fired pistol. There's no second-strike ability like a true double-action. You carry it UN-cocked and locked, actually half-cocked with the hammer down, and it's a really nice trigger. When it's pre-cocked, the hammer is actually back just a fraction of an inch, and when it's uncocked the hammer is flush with the rear of the slide. MB talks about the LDA on this page.

I just took a picture on a little bit of an angle so the hammer shows up better. This is how far it sticks out when it's cocked.

I have a bunch more flashlights coming in the afternoon. I have a full-blown flashlight addiction now and can't stop buying them. Especially when I see limited editions for 40% off, and stuff like that. One of the new ones is up to 2,300 lumens of output, plus it looks great. It has up to 55 days of runtime at 1 lumen. It's amazing how well I can see around the bedroom at night with 1 lumen or even just .5 lumens of light. I did have my bedroom lights set to moonlight, but switched them to low in case I need more light when I first turn them on. This Warrior 3S has a side switch that controls all of the modes, plus a tail switch for Medium and Turbo depending on how hard you press it, but it can be programmed to Turbo and Strobe instead if you want. And it comes with a holster too, so you don't have to stick it in your pocket or use the two-way pocket clip.

Sorry, boardware nuked my "Heresy" gif. Ads for those things were all over the gunporn rags while I was in college forever-and-a-day ago.
-
Heresy? It may not be what God and JMB intended, but that doesn't make it bad. It's just different, and having more alternatives in the gun world is never a bad thing. Well, some of the alternatives are just plain bad, but as Marta Stewart used to say BEFORE she was arrested, it's a good thing. ;D With with Cylinder & Slide Titanium Nitride coated parts that reduce Series 80 Trigger Pull approximately one pound, my P10-45 is reading 7 pounds if I'm using the trigger gauge properly. I haven't read the instructions yet but it's a cheap one with a spring in it, and it doesn't feel THAT bad. My full-size Para that has everything hard chrome plated is reading 4 1/2 pounds and feels really good, but the LDA is good too. It really is a nice trigger, but doesn't have the barely perceptible movement of the others.

P.S. All the GIFs I tried posting were WAY too big. The 500 kb image size limit really handicaps you sometimes.

When I got the Stars & Stripes Edition Warrior 3S, I also bought an Olight Seeker 4 Mini White and UV LED Flashlight. When you click the button once, the white light comes on like any other flashlight they make. But when you double click it, instead of Turbo mode kicking in, the UV light comes on instead. Mine is a titanium limited edition they don't make anymore. Thursday afternoon I got a red Seeker 4 USB-C Rechargeable EDC Flashlight With 3100 Lumens to go with it. I don't plan on buying a Seeker 4 Pro High Power Flashlight with a max 4,600-lumen output to finish the set. This one is plenty bright. Mine is 50, 300, and 1,200 lumens on low, medium, and high. It has a run time of 5 days in the 5 lumen Moon mode. I'll use the 50 lumen Low setting more than anything, but it's nice to have more when I want it.
Before that I bought a i5T Plus EDC Flashlight Pebble finish in O.D. Green, and before that one in Blue. I like the pebble grip better than the double helix of the others. They run off 2 AA batteries, instead of one AA like the i5T EOS. It runs up to 54 hours at 15 lumens and delivers a max output of 550 lumens and a up to 285 feet (87 meters throw). That's compared to a max output of 300 lumens and a max throw of 196 feet (60 meters) with the i5T Eos. These are just a hair shorter than my Mini Maglites, and the head is way narrower. Maglite doesn't like to advertise the lumens or candela of the Xenon bulb versions like mine. But I found the specs page that says they're 14 lumens with a Peak Beam Intensity of 2305, and a 96 meter throw. The LED version says they're 127 lumens and the beam distance is 156 meters. The Pro version is 332 lumens with a 172 meter throw. I like having 550 lumens a lot better than 14 from a 2 AA flashlight. I just tried using 2 2.4 volt lithium batteries in one of them and it looked brighter, but not enough to use all the time and risk burning it up. I also tried a pair of 3.6 volt lithium batteries and only had low, and it wasn't any brighter than with regular AA batteries. When I try to click it onto high, the high beam blinks and it's back to low.
A few weeks ago I bought a Blue Perun 2 Mini LED Rechargeable Headlamp. It has both white and red lights and will be great for camping. I have an extra headband and a free Harbor Freight 3 AAA light fits it perfectly. The flashlight would be on one side of your head instead of the front, but it works. The extra headband and lHarbor Freight flashlight is a birthday present for my friend.

I forgot to mention the Warrior Nano 1,200 Lumens Flashlight, and Warrior Mini 2 1,750 lumen Flashlight I got, both in Black. They each have a side switch, and a tail cap switch that are momentary or constant on. They make 7 different flashlights in the Warrior line.

OKAY OKAY OKAY
Just came back from IDPA Nats. The low light stage was different than before. Usually when I've shot a low light, YOU & the TARGETS are in low light. Even last years IDPA World had the shooter in a shaded tunnel,. This year however the shooter is in full on daylight trying to see in a dark room. 1000 Lumens couldn't overcome the problem isof the shooter's pupils NOT being dilated. Interestingly enough the stage sponsor was a flashlight maker! Uh Huh. Their big sign was all about their 3,000, THREE THOUSAND, lumen EDC. I wonder how many got ordered the next day.
I'm now gaming this. I'm carrying the most lumens I can get away with in competition. While I own two O-Lights, I'd prefer Streamlight, so the hunt is on. GA State IDPA is in two weeks, don't know if they're having a low light stage but I'm going to be prepared.
-
I have a Streamlight WML. It's a PROTAC RAIL MOUNT HL-X LONG GUN LIGHT. High is 1,000 lumens, 447m beam distance, 50,000 candela. Low is 60 lumens, 111m beam distance, 3,100 candela. The run time is supposed to be 1.25- 21 hours with 2 CR123A batteries, and 1.75 - 24 hours with an SL-B26 Protected Li-Ion USB Rechargeable Battery Pack. It's an 18650 battery, but longer than standard, which a lot of them are if they have the charging port on top. It's 18.9 x 70mm, and some 18 x 65mm (18650) batteries are too short to work.
My Olight PL-3S Valkyrie Rail Mount Light Rail Mounted Tactical Light is also 1,000 lumens, but only 10,000 candela, with a 656 ft (200 m) beam distance. I don't know why it has less than half the beam distance and 1/5 the candela of the Streamlight when it has the same lumens. ??? But I still like it because of how compact it is with the batteries side by side instead of one behind the other.
The only other Streamlight flashlight I ever had was a Scorpion with a Xenon bulb like the old Maglites. It was up to 6,500 candlepower, and 70 lumens or so. It had a 1 hour runtime with a pair of CR123A batteries, and they don't make them anymore.

I scoff at 1,000lm. Probably going to get a Streamlight 89000. 2000lm in an EDC package.
BTB first hand knowledge that a SL 1L-1AA will take a heavy duty wash cycle. Didn’t try a dryer cycle though.
It was an experiment, yeah not an accident, an experiment. I got my knife cleaned too in the process.
-
You know...i experiment just like that from time to time with my wallet and credit cards. Usually the only thing totally ruined are business cards...but I'll keep on evaluating! Just in case, you know....
-
Most people seem to know what loose change sounds like, tumbling around in the dryer. I heard my friends talking about it before. Sometimes I wonder if I'm the only person who empties their pockets before they throw their dirty clothes in the hamper.

I got more Olight flashlights 2 Fridays ago, on the 20th. One is an Arkfeld Ultra 3-in-1 EDC Flashlight with O-aluminum Material. It's a lot like the Arkfeld Pro 3-in-1 EDC Flashlight I already had, but a little bit bigger and brighter. It's a maximum of 1,400 lumens instead of 1,300. Not much difference, and it's 2,630 candela instead of 2,608. Again, not much difference. What really sets it apart is the O-aluminum, OAL for short, material it's made of. No, not that OAL. ;) This stuff is more than double the strength of 6061 aluminum that most flashlights are made of. It's even stronger than 7075 aluminum. The whole body is sandblasted after machining, and it's NOT anodized. That's just what color it turns when it oxidizes. And it feels really good in my hands. It's so hard they had to get a more powerful laser to engrave it. They had a big show in Las Vegas last month to announce the new products for fall, and part of the promotion was free laser engraving. It looks just like the online mock-up when I ordered it.
I also got an OD GREEN Compass version of the Arkfeld UV - White Light and UV Dual Light Sources Flashlight. That's in my pocket now instead of the Racing Stripes Arkfeld Pro I had in there. It only has a max of 1,000 lumens, and doesn't have a laser so it's a little bit smaller and an ounce or so lighter.

Here are my Arkfeld, Arkfeld Pro, and Arkfeld Ultra. The OD Green Compass is a good companion to the i1R 2 Pro Keychain Flashlight they gave me. There are different colors for the 4 cardinal points of the compass, and this one, Center. I'm glad they picked this one to give me. I took the iTHX Pumpkin Orange light off my key ring and put this on instead.
-
I got a PLAID i3T EOS Small Flashlight for about a buck as a combo with the Arkfeld Ultra. The color isn't painted on, it's machined into the surface. It's not laser engraved either, it's like a micro version of knurling. It feels good and grippy compared to the smooth lights. I like it and got a second Plaid i3T EOS a few days ago. Even though you're not supposed to, I put a 3.7 volt 10440 lithium battery in the first one instead of a AAA. They tossed an imini Tiny Instant Light in with the Sigurd Angled Grip Light as a combo. It's powered by 3 LR41 button cells and comes with three extra batteries. It turns on when you pull its magnetic base from the holder which easily fits on a coat zipper, and you can stick it to any ferrous metal. The later imini 2 version is USB rechargeable and costs 5 bucks more. It's a better light IMO, but 2.17" long instead of 1.38", so if you want a tiny light the original is the one to get. I already had 2 keychain lights that use 3 or 4 batteries like this, but not magnetic or instant-on.

I got a free Olight Sphere during the big event too. I have it paired to my phone by Bluetooth and have it set to change to the sound of music the built-in mic picks up. The app can operate up to 100 of them at once, and lets you pick the color from a nearly infinite pallet. There's a whack-mole game you can play with them too. The first one was free and additional Spheres are 20 bucks, which is 30 bucks cheaper than the Obulb Pro S Multi Color Light. It looks better too, but I didn't buy any. Maybe someday. They're waterproof so you can toss them in the bathtub instead of lighting candles if you ever do that. My plain Obulb is $2 cheaper and doesn't have any of those features but can change color. They all come with a self-adhesive metal base to stick them to.

I found my bag full of charging cables, etc. and took out one of the Olight L-stands and stuck it on the wall between the front door and the window to the left of it. It's about an inch closer to the light switch than it is the window frame. I have my 2,300 lumen Warrior 3S hanging there, so if I can find the wall and door in pitch blackness I can find my second brightest light. My very brightest flashlight in the red 3,100 lumen Seeker 4. I keep it on the dining room table, which is behind me when I'm on the computer. That's what I usually grab when I go out at night to check the mail, or put the trash out before the sun comes up.
I've had the 2,500 lumen stonewashed brass, limited edition, Baton 3 Pro Max hanging on the bedpost next to the bedroom door for months. It uses 21700 batteries that are 3mm wider and 5mm longer than the 18650 battery in the 1,500-lumen desert tan Baton 3 Pro. It was on the other side of the bed next to the closet, but sometime after I took the pictures I realized I had a higher power flashlight I wasn't even using. It's the 1,750 lumen Warrior Mini 2. I switched them out tonight and have it hanging next to the closet now. I also have a 1200 lumen black Warrior Nano and took a picture of it with the Baton 3 Pro and Warrior 2 Mini. The Nano takes an 18350 battery instead of an 18650 battery. The heads on the other 2 are interchangeable, and if I tried it, the other one probably is too since the batteries are all the same diameter. The heads of the 2 black flashlights are bigger than the head of the desert tan one, which is the same width as the body and not very long. And the tail end is longer because they both have tailcap switches and the Baton 3 Pro doesn't. I switched both tailcap switches to the 2nd mode of operation, where a half press is turbo and a full press is the strobe. I did the same with the Warrior 3S. The desert tan magnesium alloy Baton 3 Pro Max only weighs 4.73 oz and the brass one I have weighs 8.25 ounces with the batteries in them. The aluminum alloy ones are 5.22 oz, and the smaller Baton 3 Pro only weighs 3.6 oz.
I have a cheap single AA tactical light hanging on the wall in the 6" space between the back door and window frames. That was my EDC for quite a while. The plastic holder screwed to the wall came with a 2 AA flashlight that bit the dust a long time ago. A 2 AA Mini Maglite fits perfectly, but the old Maglites aren't very bright compared to the LED flashlights. I have 2 Olight Pebble finish i5T Plus EDC Flashlights that will also fit since they're also 2 AA and there's a shelf at the bottom of the bracket for them to rest on. Otherwise the skinnier lights would slip through the 2 plastic fingers and fall on the floor. I have a blue one and an OD green one. I like the pebble texture a lot better than the standard double helix. Whenever my old flashlight quits on me I'll put one of them up, or put up an L-stand and a bigger light in its place. It doesn't even look like it's turned on when I put a 550 lumen i5T Plus on high next to it. I have another L-stand and may switch lights a lot sooner so I have a bright one there too.

I have a half dozen flashlights in an OLIGHT Exploit Mini multifunctional flashlight and knife tool roll. They're in lockout mode so I don't accidentally turn one on like I did once. It's made of oil wax canvas with a velvet lining, and came with a Velcro patch. It's no longer listed on their main site, but is still on Amazon for $16.99, down from $19.99. I thought I was going to fill it with knives but it's full of flashlights instead. Tins of oil wax conditioner are available other places if you need to re-waterproof a piece of canvas. A larger Exploit Multifunctional Tool Roll Bag is still available from Olight. The exterior is nylon and the interior is velvet lined. The bottom of it's detachable and can be used separately. I don't think I would like that one very well, but like the Mini I have and may buy more of them.

I just ordered two of those canvas bags. One for a friend and one for me...or...as a Christmas gift for one of my boys.
-
They seem to be quite stout, which is something I don't see a lot of anymore. Mine has plenty of character already from being rolled and unrolled several times.

Here's what my cheap generic single AA flashlight looks like. There are lots of different brands, and they focus by extending the head out from the body. I had one of those KENTLI batteries in it. They're 4.2 volts and the charger is 4.2 volts, but they only put out 1.5 volts and last a LONG time. I have them in both of my cordless mice and they seem to last all year. It wasn't very bright so I put a non-rechargeable 3.6V Lithium Thionyl Chloride (Li-SOCL₂) battery in it yesterday to see if it was any better, and it still wasn't very bright. Those batteries are good wherever low currents are required over a long period of time. But not when you need high current right now. It acted like it was a lot lower voltage than it is. Then I put an Olight 920 mAh 3.6V 14500 lithium-ion battery in it. Wow! What a difference. It doesn't seem like such a piece of junk anymore.
I can't find this battery on their site but it's for the Diffuse 700 Lumens EDC Pocket Flashlight. It looks just like the 2.4V 1420 mAh 14500 Lithium-ion Battery for the i5EOS flashlight, except for the numbers. One is 1/3 less voltage, but 54.5% more mAh. You can have 50% more volts or 50% more mAh, but not both from an AA size lithium battery. BTW, the Diffuse flashlight can run off 3.6 volt and 2.4 volt 14500 rechargeable lithium ion batteries, or any regular 1.5 volt AA battery, but loses a some of the 5 lighting modes if you put a 3.6 volt non-rechargeable lithium thionyl chloride battery in it. Olight is the only place I know of that has 2.4 volt batteries, and they work in a lot of the flashlights that were made for regular AA batteries.

They're giving one of those away. It says entries will be accepted online starting on Oct 4, 2024 at 12:00AM CST and ending Sep 30, 2024 at 11:59 PM CST. Good luck traveling back though time, to enter a contest that ended the month before it began. If it really is 6,500 lumens in a $110 flashlight, that's awesome. Olight has a couple of more powerful flashlights I saw on their site, but they cost more and they're too big to stick in your pocket. The 14,000 lumen Marauder 2 is $330, and the 25,000 lumen X9R Marauder is $600!!! If anyone feels insecure about the power of their light, they could buy that and give the other guys flashlight envy. ;D
I don't know if I ever bought a Nitecore flashlight, but I have one of their SC4, Superb Charger -- 4-Slot, Fast Universal Chargers. It's good for Li-ion/IMR/LiFePO4: 10340, 10350, 10440, 10500, 12340, 12500, 12650, 13450, 13500, 13650, 14350, 14430, 14500, 14650, 16500, 16340(RCR123), 16650, 17350, 17500, 17650, 17670, 18350, 18490, 18500, 18650, 22500, 22650, 25500, 26500, 26650, and Ni-MH(NiCd): AA, AAA ,AAAA, C, D batteries. When you put batteries in any of the 4 slots, the Intelligent Charging Mode automatically detects battery types and their capacities, then optimizes the charging current to help reduce charging time.
It lists for $51.95, but you get 10% off your first purchase by joining their email list, and they have free shipping for all domestic orders over $35.

I was wondering what that Nitecore flashlight is made of, and I found it -- High strength stainless steel body with PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) titanium coating. Nice. On 15 lumen Ultralow mode it can run for 61 hours. That's 2 days, 13 hours. My Arkfeld Ultra will only run 55 hours on the 15 lumen low setting. That's 2 days, 7 hours. But it will run for 11 days straight on the 1 lumen Moon mode. The Nitecore is longer, wider, thicker, and 35% heavier, but mine is a max 1,400 lumens. Not even close, but mine has a UV light and green laser too. If you just want a super bright flashlight, the Nitecore is the way to go.
-
They came to my attention at the IDPA Nats sponsoring the low light stage. Brilliant move (pun intended).
Where they lost out was not having a dealer on-site to sell lights, since most competitors had inadequate lights.
-
That Nitecore is "only" $110. I think I'll wait until the new wears off and the price falls hopefully around $50 to $80. Nitecore makes good equipment.
-
I wouldn't have bought anything that I got from Olight if I had to pay full retail price. They have something on sale every week. I ended up ordering one of those Exploit tool rolls I thought I would never buy. But it was 40% off so I'm giving it a shot. They had one of their Build Your Own Bundle sales where one item is 30% off and 2 or more are 40% off. I really like the Mini Exploit and still don't think I'll like the Nylon and PVC(?) pockets as well as waxed canvas. But it holds more, and the detachable carry bag on the bottom could come in handy. Time will tell.
I'm getting another Baton 3 Pro 1500 Lumens Rechargeable Flashlight and will probably stick it on my bed and put the desert tan one that's there by the back door. I have another light there already but the fingers that clip it to the wall are really lose on my OD green pebble finish light. I don't know why it's so much smaller in diameter as my Mini Maglites and other 2 cell AA flashlights. I can drop the light in from the top, between the clips, instead of snapping it in from the front. That seems like a good place to put one of those L brackets instead. They have Baton 3 Pro and Arkflex Adjustable Right Angle Flashlights in Pumpkin Orange and Skeleton limited editions. I thought they did anyway but don't see the Baton 3 Pro Pumpkin one on the site. I thought about getting a Pumpkin Arkflex to go with my Skeleton Baton but decided to only get one or the other. I chose another 1,500 lumen Baton over the 1,000 lumen Arkflex, but may get one of those too someday. The 90 degree adjustable head would come in handy for a lot of things, like sticking it to the underside of the car hood at night if there's a problem. On the Skeleton Arkflex it looks like the skeleton is pointing to the power switch around the corner from it. :)
They were giving away Nocturnal Sentinel versions of the i3E EOS Keychain Flashlight with every order until they ran out. I already have the Orange Skull version. They had a Nocturnal Sentinel version of the Warrior 3S High Beam Tactical Flashlight but sold out already. I like the looks of it better than my Stars & Stripes edition, but don't need, and can't afford, another one. I'm getting a few other lights and another knife too. They have Orange and Zombie Green versions of more models of flashlights now, like this Warrior Mini 3 Portable Tactical Flashlight. But I can't buy everything, and the Warrior Mini 2 Compact EDC Tactical Flashlight I already have is smaller. I also ordered an S1R Baton II EDC Light, which is .71" shorter than the Warrior Nano I haver. I don't know how well I can hang onto a flashlight that's only 2.48" when my hand is an inch and a half wider. :-\

Here's a regular orange Baton 3 Pro next to an orange skeleton one. When I looked at it on their site I thought it had a shiny finish. Now I realize that it's just the same. The brightness I thought I saw on the left side was an optical illusion caused by the darkness of the right side.

I've been 1/2 way paying attention to this thread...OK..maybe 1/4 way paying attention. I glance and go, I admit it.
So, I learned something new a couple of weeks ago. My son has a Fenix ht30r LEP flashlight. He told me about that and I wasn't impressed. He said it was a LEP...or Laser Excited Phosphor flashlight and that though not necessarily brighter it throws a very tight beam. Still, I wasn't impressed as such....talk is talk you know even though he's an engineer and I did expect there was some measure of an improvement over beam divergence compared to a standard LED flashlight.
Then I saw it in action here on the farm on a target at 400'. All I can say is ^@&#%^@$#...that thing is bright. And there are brighter and tighter beam models...but that's what he runs on one of the AR's. It's only around 560 lumens but ^@&#%^@$#, it throws a tight beam.
Have you guys seen one of the LEP lights in action? No telling what I would have traded to have one of those in my coon huntin' days....
So now I'm thinking everyone needs to pitch in for old Dad's Christmas gift....I'm looking at the Weltool W4 "Dragon in a cloud" LEP flashlight. It's nearly 3X brighter than the Fenix ht30r.
These LEP flashlights are really impressive if you guys are like me and didn't notice what was going on with them. The difference is a lot like these new modern LED's compared to the old incandescent yellow bulb headlights we had back in the 60's and 70's before the xeon gas bulbs in the Maglights. The LEP's are pricey...really pricey though.
-
I almost bought an Olight Valkyrie Turbo LEP when it was on sale. Then I saw that it was only 250 lumens, and I didn't know what LEP meant. They started selling them 2 years ago, and I could have gotten it $90, or whatever when it was on sale this year. But I didn't realize what it could do. I found the page where it used to be but haven't read it all yet. It has a max light Intensity of 70,225 candela and a throw of 1738 ft (530 m). For reference, 1,760 feet is 1/3 of a mile, and it's only 22 feet shy of that. :o 8) Amazon has a video on it that I
couldn't find on YouTube found posted by Olight South Africa. If you want nothing but a long distance light, it's good. If you want a light with a good amount of spill so you can look around closer too you, it's bad.

RE Video. More about the beam and less on gloves putting in the battery and demonstrating the mount would be nice.
collimation it’s called, where the beams/particles of light all travel in near the same direction. One of the three key characteristics of lasers. Coherence and mono-chromasity are the others.
-
Someone makes collimated lights that look like regular LED flashlights but I can't remember the brand. They make rifle mounts for them too, so you can bolt it onto your scope. They also make green ones, so you can shine coyotes and stuff in the distance without ruining you night vision ability. They weren't cheap, and I think I can find them if I do a search.
And I found them, but it looks like they closed. Optical Dynamics Exude OD50 Illuminator 50mm 2000 Lumens White Cree LED Aluminum Black with Rifle Mount. I found the ad for them without a mount at Midway. List price 300 bucks for the 50mm. The 40 mm was cheaper. They aren't flashlights, they're illuminators.

That LEP that Olight made uses a laser this precise shade of blue. A wavelength 1 nm longer is considered violet. It shoots the laser beam backward and it hits a phosphor coated piece of metal. Then the magic happens. I saw a video where they compared 2 other Olights in the Odin series. The LEP light was longer, wider and heavier. You can see way off in the distance great with the LEP, but you can't see Jack Schmidt anywhere except directly in the beam. They have their uses but would be terrible as a WML. Unless you can get the bad guys to stand right in front of the light they may as well be invisible.

Seeing to the side is what thermal is for....
Only if you can afford it, and you have it on you. I just looked and saw a PVS-14 Gen 3 + Kit with a helmet to mount it on for $8,000-$9,000. I paid $50 and change for one of my Olight WMLs when it was on sale. I can't afford to spend around 16,000%-18,000% more than that. Especially when it's so I can see left and right of dead-center what I can already see with a $50 light.
-
Good night vision is pricey. The fusion night gear that combines night vision and thermal is even more expensive.
I looked through a $27k scope once. It takes in sensor data on distance, wind speed & direction, humidity, barometric pressure, angle up/down, NSEW direction to compensate for the earth's rotation and has in it the ballistics for a particular round/rifle. Then as you look through the thermal it moves the sight picture to let you know where the bullet will impact for where you are pointing the gun.
1/2 day of training on how to use it all and you are an "instant" sniper.
Of course that $27k was 3-4 years ago I'm sure it is more now but it was one impressive piece of kit.
-
I saw something like that a couple of years ago. The latest and greatest I heard about was smart bullets that can steer themselves in case the target moves. Does that sound familiar to anyone? Runaway was written and directed by author Michael Crichton. Yes, that Michael Crichton -- The Andromeda Strain, Westworld, Coma, The Terminal Man, Congo, Sphere, Twister, Jurassic Park, Prey, State of Fear, et al.

I just typed up a long description of everything here and what I did to get the Frankenlight monstrosity working. Then I hit some key that wiped out the entire post when I was finishing it. Long story short-er, the wall mount originally had a Pro-Brite 2 AA flashlight in it. Something happened to it, I think the batteries corroded in it and I saved the head with the tailcap held inside it with a piece of Scotch tape. Then I had the blue Mini Maglite in the wall mount until it got wrecked. I think the batteries in it corroded too. I had the green pebble finish light in the holder in the pic, but didn't like how loosely it fit. I have the cheap single AA tactical light in it now. I repainted it with a paint pen and put a 3.6 volt battery in it. Now it doesn't suck like it did when it was my EDC light with a AA battery.
I found the Pro-Brite parts a couple weeks ago when I was looking in a box for something else. The Pro-Brite head wouldn't fit the Maglite body so I filed the threads down and tapered it enough to smash it into place with a 2 pound ball peen hammer. Sarge got a laugh out of that because it was like I was back in the small arms repair shop in Germany. ;D The tailcap wouldn't screw in far enough so I ground and filed a little off the rear of the body. I replaced the 2 pin Xenon bulb with a 3mm LED. That was a real pain in the butt since I previously manged the bulb holder beyond recognition. I had the bulb glued in with hot glue so it looked like a normal flashlight but could be used to stash small items like rolled up paper money in it.
The Frankenlight works but I have to screw the tail cap on and off to operate t. I broke the spring in half while trying to stretch it out and replaced it with a hollow piece of sheet metal. It was the tip of the cigarette lighter plug on my 1,5000,000 candlepower automobile spotlight that the plug broke on. Nite Ize has a tail cap with a button that's only available as a combo kit with a 30 lumen LED upgrade. I plan on using the LED upgrade on my last remaining intact Mini Maglite and can use the switch on this flashlight since twisting the head to turn it on and off is impossible.
The xenon bulbs that have 2 pins instead of a flange around them like some older light bulbs can be replaced by LEDs with the legs cut to the same length. If t doesn't work turn it 180 degrees to get the polarity right. 3mm LEDs usually fit through the hole in the reflector but not on every brand and model. 5mm LEDs would be better but you need too drill out the hole in the reflector to fit them. I have a white LED in the Frankenlight, but also have UV and other color LEDs, including color-changing LEDs that I can plug into the one Mini Maglite I have that's still intact. I bought a whole variety of LEDs cheap from Lighthouse LEDs several years ago. The easiest way to determine polarity of a new LED is that the longer lead is the positive one and shorter lead is the negative one. If you cut them to length to plug into a Mini Maglite, your chances of getting it right the fist time are 50/50.

P.S. The Halon fire extinguisher is on the opposite end of the kitchen from the stove. If the stove catches on fire I don't have to reach through flames to get a fire extinguisher that's right next to it.

Three of my flashlights use 21700 batteries. I thought about buying a spare battery so I could swap it out instead of waiting for it to recharge. Then I saw how much they cost. It's $29.99 at Nite Ize for a 5000 mAh USB rechargeable battery for their INOVA high-powered LED flashlights. Olight has a 5000 mAh 21700 battery for $26.95, now on sale 20% off at $21.56. That's still a lot of money for a flashlight battery. So I bought an 18650 to 21700 battery adapter from Sniper Hog Lights for $7.99. I have lots of 18650 batteries already. I already had some, then bought a 10-pack of them on Amazon last year.

I ordered another Arkfeld Ultra 3-in-1 EDC Flashlight with O-aluminum Material from Olight, this one in Navy Blue. It comes in Cool White and Natural White. I ordered a Natural White because I already have several Cool White flashlights and wanted another one with a more natural color. The O Aluminum is so hard they had to get a better laser to engrave my OD Green one. Now, with the Navy Blue one, the anodizing isn't holding up so well in drop testing, so they're selling them at 50% off.

I have more Olights on the way. One is a Warrior Mini 2 Compact EDC Tactical Flashlight in Desert Camouflage that's already sold out. I have one of these flashlights in black already and like it. The Body Diameter is .91 inch just like the Baton 3 Pro Rechargeable Flashlights I have, but the Head Diameter is 0.98 inch, instead of .91 inch. And it's 1,750 lumens with a Beam Distance of 721 feet, instead of 1,500 lumens with a Beam Distance of 574 feet. It's also 4.65 inch long instead of 3.99 inch and weighs 0.67 ounce more, because it has a dual mode tail cap switch in addition to the regular side switch. It also has a proximity sensor that you can see in the 5th picture. The heads and bodies of the Warrior Mini 2 and Baton 3 Pro can be swapped with each other. I'm going to hang the black one by my back door after I take down the plastic holder and it's cheap flashlight. I have the tailcap switch set so a half-press is Turbo and a full-press is Strobe. It came set to High and Turbo, but I changed it. The Pocket Clip and Lanyard Clip can be swapped end to end or left off, and my black one came with a carabiner-style ring, like the ring on the Olink.
I got this light for 40% off, and for just $1 more made it a combo with a black i3T 2 EOS Small EDC Flashlight. The old i3T EOS Small Flashlight uses a AAA battery and is 5 or 180 lumens. The i3T 2 EOS Small EDC Flashlight uses a AAA battery or a 10440 Li-ion battery which boosts the maximum output up to 300 lumens. The old style costs $17.99, and the new, improved version is $19.99, well worth the extra $2. But right now it's on sale 25% off, for $14.99. The better flashlight is $3 less than the cheap one. You can tell the 2 apart by the new clip on the i3T 2, which is now stuck between the battery cover and the body, so you never have to worry about it falling off, and it allows for deeper pocket carry. I have one setting next to the coaster on my desk right now with a 10440 battery in it. If I need a bigger flashlight I can grab one off the table behind me, but this one is bright enough to see stuff I drop on the floor.

Here's a pic someone took of a Warrior Mini 2 and Warrior Nano. The Warrior Nano also has a Body Diameter of .91 inch and the head is the same diameter. It's only 3.19 inch long and weighs 3 ounces. But it's 1,200 lumens with a Beam Distance of 442 feet. It uses an 1100mAh 3.6V 18350 Rechargeable Battery that's only about half as long as the 3500mAh 3.6V 18650 Rechargeable Battery in the Warrior 2 Mini. Two other flashlights I have that are almost the same diameter, but shorter, are the S1R Baton II EDC Light, and Baton 3 Premium Edition Rechargeable EDC Flashlight 1200 Lumens with Charger.
The S1R Baton II uses a 550mAh IMR RCR123A Battery. It has a body diameter and head diameter of 0.83 inch, is 2.48 inch long, and weighs 1.8 oz. It's tiny but powerful, 1,000 lumens with a Beam Distance of 476 feet. The Baton 3 uses a Customized 550mAh 3.7V IMR16340 Rechargeable Battery that's the same thing as that, and they're same size as a 3 volt CR123A battery. But it's 1,200 lumens with a Beam Distance of 544 ft. It also has a body diameter and head diameter of 0.83 inch, and a length of 2.48 inches, but weighs a tiny bit more, 1.87oz., 4.02oz with the wireless charge that allows it t run 94 days on moonlight mode. I have a Baton 3 Premium Edition Holster to carry the flashlight in its case, but they quit making it. Maybe they'll make one for the slightly larger Baton 4 Premium Edition that would also work with it.

That ATN ThOR 5 XD LRF 4-40x with a bult-in laser rangefinder looks good too. None of my rifles are worth putting a $ 6,195 scope on. The ATN ThOR 5 XD LRF 2-20x would have more power than I need and is $900 less, $ 5,295

I got an i5R EOS EDC Flashlight with my last order from Olight. It was a tier gift for ordering a certain amount ($299) and my order was 8 cents above that. I got some special Christmas stuff, and other one of a kind items and went a little overboard. These things sell for $35.95 when they aren't on sale and are one of my favorite flashlights as far as size and bang for your buck goes. Instead of using a single AA battery like their 30 buck i5T EOS EDC Flashlight, they use a 14500 lithium-ion battery with a USB-C charging port built in. Instead of a max output of 300 lumens and a max throw of 60 meters (196 feet), the Li-ion battery gives it a max output of 350 lumens and a max throw of 64 meters (209 feet). Not a great distance farther, but ~17% brighter in the same size flashlight, and the battery can be recharged hundreds of times.
These aren't much bigger than the single AAA flashlights, but offer a lot more power. The i3T EOS AAA is a max 180 lumens, and the i3T 2 EOS with a10440 Li-ion battery boosts that to 300 lumens. But the AAA size 10440 batteries I bought at Amazon are only 350 mAh, and the AA size that come with this are 1420 mAh, over 4 times as much, so they'll last a lot longer on high. And on low you get 20 hours at 15 lumens, instead of 21 hours at 5 lumens on the slightly smaller light. I didn't know which color I would get, only that it would be Black, Regal Blue, or Neon Green. Luckily I got Neon Green, the only one I didn't already have, and was waiting on a notification list for when they got back in stock. Instead of the double helix knurling of the others, it has 16 vertical grooves. This may have been something special last year for their 16th anniversary, I don't know. All 3 colors are out of stock now, so it's a good thing I don't have to wait for an in stock notification any more.

Here's what the other Regal Blue and Black ones look like.
-
I took the black clip off and replaced it with a blue one I previously bought in anticipation of getting another i5R EOS. Here it is next to the i3T 2 EOS that was setting here on my desk. I had to use it again yesterday to find something I dropped while sitting here. That one was well worth the buck it cost when I bought my desert camo Warrior Mini 2. Someone on eBay is selling the camo Warrior Mini 2 for $18 more than I paid for mine. Instead of flat tan on OD green like it looks in the picture, it's more like shiny gold and silver-gray on green. That's what it looks like to me anyway. Maybe not the best camouflage but it looks cool.

Like the Yogi Yorgesson song says I yust go nuts at Christmas. I got a Christmas Gift Box for 100 bucks. It has an Arkfeld Pro Snowflake Green and a one of their new Oclip Pro Snowflake Red lights, and a shiny gold challenge coin. At the last SHOT show all the Olight guys were wearing Oclips and I was like ho-hum, a clip-on light. But now they have the Oclip Ppro with 3 lights instead of 2, and more than twice the battery capacity. It's 2/3 brighter and on high the red light is 10 times brighter. It runs a max 144 hours instead of 30.

More pics. The Oclip Pro has a hinged metal door covering the charging port, instead of a piece of plastic like some other lights. It looks well built, and it charges in an hour and a half. It has a lanyard hole in the clip, and the clip is magnetic, plus it has rubber padding to grip better when you clip it on something.

I wanted to add an Arkfeld Pro Copper Bones edition to my collection but bought that navy blue one at half price and a Halloween version before that, so I had to let this one go. It's limited to 7,000 for the whole world. Beside the 3D skull engraving, it's the first Arkfeld they made from copper AFAIK. It weighs 8.36 oz, more than double what the others do, 3.92 oz . But if it's just setting on a shelf looking cool it doesn't matter what it weighs. 8)

I'll take mystery box on the front step for $1,000 Alex.
I am torn on what to put it on. A standoff self-defense item like a 300 Win Mag also good for hogs or a Weatherby 257 magnum also good for the same but flatter and not so much for hogs.
A less expensive model would be great on a 22/17HMR for wabbits.

Here's my collection of Olight Arkfeld flashlights. The Arkfeld UV is in the middle, flanked by a pair of Arkfeld Pro lights, with Arkfeld Ultras on the ends. The Arkfeld UV is just a white light and green laser. The rest are all UV, white light, and green laser. You can turn on the white light while the laser is on, which gives you a 4th option. The Arkfeld Ultras are just a bit bigger and brighter, and made with O-aluminum (OAL) Material. That's a hard, tough aluminum alloy. I like how the position indicator for the switch on the Snowflake Green one is a snowflake. The Arkfeld Ultras both came with a challenge coin. The 4 indicator lights for the battery condition are below the switch, and on the Ultras they're inside an engraving of a battery. In the picture it shows up on the green one but not the blue one. All of the lights are cut away on the sides of the switch. The old models had 2 "thumb studs" on the switch and that made it easy to use either side of the switch. All of the newer ones only have one stud in the middle on the bottom, but the sides are still cut away.
I forgot to turn them around and take another picture, so I grabbed a pic from another site to let you see the gold color pocket clip on the Racing Stripes Arkfeld Pro, which was the first one I bought. The clip matches the button and bezel, but it's even shinier. There's also an Arkfeld Flat Flashlight (the original?) with Green Laser & White Light the same size and weight as the Arkfeld UV. I'm going to buy one if they ever get the Pinwheel Gunmetal Grey version in stock. I have a Pinwheel Blue i3T EOS Small Flashlight (sold out) and a Pinwheel Orange i1R 2 Pro Keychain Flashlight (out of stock) and would like to add the Pinwheel Gunmetal Grey light to the collection. They should be in stock later in the week.

I saw a YouTube video where this guy bought several 900,000 - 1,000,000 lumen flashlights from Amazon. The actual outputs were 526 lumens for a million lumen light, up to 2,410 lumens for a 990,00 lumen light. They all put out somewhere between 0.05% and 0.24% of the lumens they claimed to. When the BEST is less than 1/4 of 1% of what it claims, they should all be confiscated and the companies that sell them severely fined and put out of business. Think about the one that puts out 1/20 of 1% of what they claim, and what it would be like if other products were so far off spec. If you bought a car battery that said it was 12 volts, but it was really only 6/1000 of 1 volt, you'd be pissed off and rightly so. That would be 0 cold cranking amps, no matter what they said it was. And it would be nothing but an oversized paperweight. But these people selling flashlights claim whatever they want to for their flashlights. And another thing they do is use the ratings for a different product and apply it to their own, so it looks like it's actually okay. They'll even sell a different model with different specs, and as long as they don't raise the price Amazon doesn't get suspicious. These Amazon sellers are so full of $#!x they should all be politicians. And like many politicians, deserve to be lined u against a wall and shot. Fraud like this is one of the worst kinds of theft there is.

I got an Olight Seeker 2 in (Ocean?) Blue today. It's not on their site anymore, and according to some YouTube reviews from 5 years ago, it was a limited edition of 2019 flashlights in the blue color. It's a 3,000 lumen flood light with 3 LEDs. It almost the same size as the 3,100 lumen Seeker 4 that has 1 LED. The Seeker 4 is a little bit longer because it has a covered USB-C port instead of using the magnetic charging cable. The S4 has way more candela and a longer throw, but the S2 runs about 7 times as long on high. The blue one has a black bezel and the black one had a blue bezel. If you had both you could swap them to make each light a single color.
-
As you can see, the Seeker 4 is almost identical except for the number of LEDs and the way they charge. The Seeker 4 Mini has a similar form to the S2 and S4, but shorter. It has 2 pairs of finger grooves instaed of 3 and uses an 18350 3.6V 1100mAh Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery, instead of a Rechargeable 21700 5000mAh / 3.6V Li-ion Battery. The Seeker 4 Mini is also 4-5mm narrower in the body and head because of the smaller battery, and has 2 LEDs, white and UV.

-
The Seeker 2 is still charging. Since it has a magnetic base, I can hang it on an L-stand. I'll probably put that one by the back door and keep the 2,300 lumen Warrior 3S by the front door. And I have another L-stand so I might put a light at the top of the basement stairs, next to the light switch.
-
The other flashlight I got today was another i3T 2 EOS Small EDC Flashlight This one is a Dragon & Phoenix Golden Black. I used 5398 O-coins to pay for it and no money. It came with a AAA battery, but you can also use a 10440 Li-ion battery to boost the maximum output from 200 lumens up to 300 lumens.

Today I got a Clip Mount that's made for Olight Warrior Mini 3 and Warrior Nano flashlights. The illustration is of a Warrior Mini 3. It's a bit longer than the width of my hand and the Warrior Nano is 1.18" shorter. I can make a fist with it inside and you can't see it from the back of my hand, and not much from any angle other than the bottom. It's too short to handle as well as bigger lights, but at 3.0 oz including the battery and pocket clip, it sure is easy to carry. Mine already came with a clip, but now it's attached to the tail end instead of the head. If I press the tail switch halfway it's on medium and if I press it all the way in it's half-turbo, 600 lumens. Those modes are momentary, but if I press it until it clicks, it stays on at half-turbo. It still has low, medium and high with the side switch, plus a double click is 1,200 lumen turbo, and a triple click is strobe. It will run on 0.5 lumen moon mode for 40 days. Not bad for an 18350 battery, just 1mm longer than a 123A battery, but some of the bigger lights are 10 times brighter on moon mode.
-
I also got a Snowman Christmas Sling for my Sphere Ambient Light with App Control. The app for the Sphere has more modes on it now, including Christmas and Peppermint patterns. I got a Wyvern Road Bike Light so when I get new tires and tubes on my bike next year I can ride it and be safer. The light I have on it isn't as bright and I'm not sure it still works. The Wyvern is a type of mythical dragon. I also got a Portable Phone Stand that fits in my Nite Ize XL Vertical Clip Case Hardshell Universal Rugged Holster. I put my phone in the internal credit card pocket, and the stand in front of it with the hooks hanging over the edge. I got another Exploit Multifunctional Tool Roll Bag in this order, and the free Christmas gift was an Auspicious Clouds i3E EOS Keychain Flashlight.
The order before this one had the Sentry R1 Folding Outdoor Kitchen Tool, an Otool 2 Mini Titanium Versatile Keychain, and OD Green i3T 2 EOS Small EDC Flashlight. Before that I got a free Olight Beanie for Thanksgiving, and 2 sets of free Christmas stickers. I'm going to put some on my Sphere after I eat. When I ordered the Christmas Gift Box and a bunch of other stuff they sent me an O'Pen Mini 2 Ballpoint Pen and Pencil in One as a Black Friday Gift. It's a special brass edition that they aren't selling.

It looks like I forgot to post a link to the Portable Phone Stand. The hinges are stiff enough to hold your phone at any angle with nothing but friction. It's all aluminum construction with silicone feet. The measurements are 4.06 x 2.88 x 0.95 inches and it weighs 4.8 ounces.

I got another Olight Warrior Nano 1200 Lumens Tactical EDC Flashlight, a red one this time. And a black Diffuse 700 Lumens EDC Pocket Flashlight to go with the red and green ones I bought. They gave me another Auspicious Clouds i3E EOS Keychain Flashlight. I knew I was getting 1 of 4 designs but didn't know which. I would have rather had the blue porcelain one. I have a some red flashlights, but not so many blue ones. Before this I got a Blue Porcelain light, and an Osight Edition Shot Show gift for free, but had to pay $5 shipping for one because I didn't buy anything. The Osight Edition kind of looks like a Red Dot reticle. It has the same shape as the Blue Porcelain, Auspicious Clouds, and some other special edition i3E EOS Keychain Flashlights I have. A pocket clip won't fit on any of these like it will the regular ones, because they don't have a groove for it to fit in.

I bought a 1k lumen light at (of all places) CVS. I was in there getting medicine and saw a light display on an endcap.
It's a brand you usually find at Lowes, LuxPro and uses a standard lithium rechargeable 18650 battery like a Streamlight (I have several of those batteries).
One thing I really like is the mode setting is made by a twist of the housing ring instead of clicking the tail cap....that way you can set it where you want it and then the on/off is just that....no cycling.
Lists for $50 on the LuxPro site and CVS had it for $42.... I had a 30% off coupon and some store credit, so I got the thing for $23.
Basically the same size as my EDC Streamlight, so I keep it in the truck console as a backup.

Nice score on the LuxPro, Peg. The great thing about 18650 batteries is there are tons of them available. And you can always replace the originals with higher amperage batteries if you want to.
I just got 2 Olight flashlights from Amazon in the afternoon. I got a Regal Blue Baton 4 Powerful EDC Flashlight 1300 Lumens flashlight, but not the Premium version with the case that can fully charge it 5 times. I plan on getting a charging case sometime because I have 4 of the 5 flashlights you can charge in it, and 2 can be operated inside the case. The flashlight was 40% off, but in combination with the case was only 25% off so I passed on it this time. I thought about getting the Fighter Pilot Baton 4 instead of the blue one, but I'd rather get that one with the case. This uses the same 16340 battery as my S1R Baton II and Baton 3, which is a A123 size 3.6 volt lithium battery. They should run on 3 volt CR123A batteries in a pinch, but I'm not sure. I thought about getting the Fighter Pilot Baton 4 instead of blue, but I'd rather get that one with the case.
I took the silver clip off and put it on my black S1R Baton II, and put the gold clip that came with the red Baton 3 on it. That one has a blue clip on it that I bought. The S1R Baton II is 1,000 lumens, The Baton 3 is 1,200, and the Baton 4 is 1,300 lumens. Pretty good from a 123A size battery but Turbo will kill them all in a hurry. This one should run 35 hours on Low at 12 lumens, or 8 hours on Medium at 60 lumens, which sounds good to me. I have a tiny little belt case that will hold any of these 3 flashlights since they're all the same size, just a hair under 2.5" long. It looks like nylon and has a D ring sewn on right above the belt loop so it can be hung on a carabiner or whatever.
I also got a Desert Tan i3T EOS Small Flashlight for 35% off. This is 5/180 lumens. The i3T 2 can also use a 10440 Li-ion battery which can boost the maximum output up to 300 lumens. You're not supposed to put one of those batteries in a i3T EOS like this, but some people still do. It's brighter than 180 lumens, but probably not 300. If you stick with a AAA battery you can get 16 hours of runtime on low. Between the i3T EOS and i3T 2 EOS, I now have at least one each of Black, OD Green, Desert Tan, Plaid, Pinwheel Blue, Carbon Fiber, solid Zirconium, and Dragon & Phoenix Golden Black. I don't have a Zombie Green one with red splatters (as far as I recall), and no pink one.

Here are "the little guys". I have even smaller flashlights than this, a lot smaller, but those are all key ring size and these aren't. The imini weighs less than 1/2 ounce, but it takes button batteries and that kind of flashlight never lasts. That's why I quit using 2 different brands I have.
Black S1R Baton II. Red Baton 3. Regal Blue Baton 4. Blue Perun 2 Mini. Big fat meat hook. ;D I have a headband the Perun 2 Mini fits in and the light swivels up and down in the mount. I like it a lot better than the LED headband light I bought. It also uses a 3.6V 16340 Rechargeable Lithium Battery, and has a 1,100 lumen Cool White LED straddled by a pair of Red LEDs. All of them have similar checkering except the Perun 2 Mini. It and the S1R Baton II have a hole to attach a lanyard to the bottom, but the Baton 3 and Baton 4 don't. The checkering on the other 3 is squares, rectangles, and pyramids.
-
Here are my Baton 3, one of my 3 Baton 3 Pros, and my Baton 3 Pro Max. The Pro uses a 3200 mAh 3.6V 18650 Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery, and the Pro Max uses a 5000 mAh 3.6V 21700 Rechargeable lithium-ion Battery. That's over 56% more mAhs in a package that's not much larger. The Baton 3 with its 123-size battery is only 550 mAh, and the Pro Max is 809% more, but there's a big difference in size. If the Pro Max was the Desert Tan magnesium one instead of solid brass, it would weigh 1.1 ounce more than the Pro. And if it was aluminum like most of them, it would weigh 1.59 ounce more.
-
I like the size of that mini....especially with 1300 lumens. Next time I make an Amazon order I'll snag one.
-
I don't know how long they'll be on sale, but for 40% off it's hard to beat the combination of size, performance, and price. The Baton 4 fits this S1 / S1R / S MINI Holster that only costs $3.95.

I hooked a Size #1 Nite Ize Black S-Biner Dual Carabiner on the D-ring on mine. Dimensions: 0.6" x 1.6" x 0.2". Weight Rating: 5 lbs. They're $4.99 a pair for black or plain stainless finish. They're thin and tiny sized, but with the 5 pound rating it should hold up even if it gets snagged on something. The Size #2 Dimensions: 0.8" x 1.9" x 0.3" Weight Rating: 10 lbs. for $2.99 apiece are even better.

The new Baton Turbo Compact EDC Flashlight is a little bit bigger and has a fat head. It's only 1,000 lumens but has a Beam Distance of 1,673 feet. Possibly the best thing about it is that it comes with an adapter sleeve so you can use a CR123A Battery if your 1100mAh 18350 Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery craps out on you. It has great reviews but I don't think it's for me. Unless there's a good sale. ;)

I got an Olight Baton Turbo. I didn't plan on getting one unless it was 40% or 50% off, but it's a Roadster edition that matches my Baton 3 Pro Roadster. When I was looking for pics of them online, I found out that they made a Baton 3 Roadster at some point in time. Before I started shopping at Olight I guess. It would have been the same size as my blue Baton 4 in the first 2 pics. I put together pics of all 3 Roadster editions at approximately the right scale relative to each other in the 3rd pic. The Baton 4 uses a 16340 battery and the Baton Turbo uses an 18350 turned upside down. It came with an adaptor to use CR123A batteries, which are the same size as the 16340 batteries in my Baton 3 and 4, and S1R Baton II. If my battery dies I can use any those batteries instead and they work well, but only have 59% of the amperage, 650 mAh vs. 1,100 mAh.
I don't know what to think about the Turbo. It's wider than the Baton 3 Pro and almost as long, but it's 1,000 lumens instead of 1,500. It's less lumens than the Baton 4, but it's 65,025 Candela and has a beam distance of 1,673 ft (510 m), 3X farther than the Baton 4. The Baton 3 Pro, even though it's longer and the battery is almost twice as long as the Turbo's, only has a 574 ft (175 m) throw. I like the form factor of the other 2 better than the Turbo. But if you want a pocket-size thrower that shines over 3/10 of a mile, here it is. I'll have to carry it awhile before I have a strong opinion about it, but it's a lot fatter than the Arkfeld Ultra I was carrying and barely fits in my tool holster.
The Baton Turbo was only 20% off and the new limited edition i18 Brass USB-C Rechargeable EDC Key chain Flashlight was 25% off, but if you bought both of them, they were 30% off. So I got the Roadster for my collection, and the brass 18th Anniversary key chain light too, before it sold out. It weighs 1.8 oz (51 g), compared to the 0.78 oz (22 g) aluminum i1R 2 Pro. They're both 2.02 inches long and 180 lumens. I assume the brass one uses the same Built-in 3.7V 130mAh 10220 Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery. That's the size of half of a AAA battery. The flashlight's shaped like a little rocket. A heavy little brass rocket that will look good in my collection, not on my key ring. :)

The package that USPS has been dinking around with for so long has an Arkfeld Pro Titanium Stonewashed Edition. It was a Pre-sale Member-Exclusive Product at Half Price. I ordered it right before the other 2 flashlights. They were one per customer and are already sold out. My free gift with any order above $0.00 was an 18th Anniversary Edition i3E EOS Keychain Flashlight.

Olight must have solved the problem they had anodizing the Navy Blue Arkfeld Ultra like the one I got for half price. The O-aluminum material is so hard, twice as hard as standard 6061 AL alloy, that anodizing it needed to be done differently, and they needed to get a stronger laser to engrave it. Now they're making the Arkfeld Ultra in the original Olive Green and Navy Blue, each available in Cool White or Natural White light. There's a new Oclip Ultra Clip-On EDC Light with Flood, Spot, and UV Modes made of the same O-Aluminum - the world's toughest aluminum alloy according to them. And they also come in Olive Green and Navy Blue to match the Arkfeld Ultra. I already have an Oclip Pro Dragon & Zodiac, so I'm good. I like how it clips right-side up on the pocket without a flap on the left side of my Carhartt coat, and upside down from the flap on the right pocket. Either way it's pointing straight ahead where I need it. I think I'll be using my head-lamps less when I go camping now that I have it. Since the Oclip Ultra has a UV light instead of a red light, they include a patch of a scorpion lit up with a UV light as a gift.

There's an original Oclip Clip Light with White and Red Light, Oclip Pro Clip on Flashlight with Floodlight Spotlight and Red Light, and Oclip Ultra Clip-On EDC Light with Flood, Spot, and UV Modes. They're 30, 40, and 50 bucks, respectively. The original has a 300 lumen white light and 4 lumens red light. The Pro comes with a much more useful 500 lumens white flood, 120-meter range spot, and 40/4 lumens red light. The Ultra has a 530 lumen floodlight, a 450 lumen spotlight, and an 800mW UV light, but no red light. And they all have a strobe. For my money the Pro is the best option. It's more powerful than the original, the max battery life is 3X as good, and it's still small and light enough to clip to your shirt, hat, or just about anyplace. The Ultra is still under 2 ounces but just barely. If I want a UV light I'll use one of my flashlights with a UV setting. And the red light is good to use at night so you don't ruin your ability to see in the dark. There's a Fortune Snake Special Edition for 2025, The Year of the Snake, plus plain Black, OD Green, and Orange. Wait for them to go on sale for at least 20% off. Sometimes they have create your own bundle deals where one item on the list will be 15% or 20% off, and if you buy 2 or more they'll be 25% off or 30% off, or something like that. I bought an extra item like a small light a couple of times to get the better deal on the more expensive thing I wanted.

Olight has a rewards program, and if you use the link below you get a $10 bonus after your new registration. It has no threshold for use and is valid for 60 days. And I get a kickback as described in the picture below, which I don't mind sharing. I'm not trying to hide anything. All new users get a free i3E EOS flashlight no matter how you join.

Dang! What a bargain. And you're very welcome, PegLeg. You're my first referral and I didn't know how good the deal would be. What color did you get?

I went with the OD Green.
I like the potential for use over my standard EDC Streamlight. The O Light looks to be about the same dimension as a Zippo lighter....so with the clip, I can clip it to the pocket on my Carhartt tee shirts and free up both hands.
A lot of times we are going in and out of both kitchens at church after hours to restock supplies, take out trash after cooking, or cleaning and such and having both hands free to unlock/lock doors ...or while carrying items, will be useful.

I used to hate OD Green, but a couple decades after I got out of the army I started to like it. I would choose it over black and probably over orange too. Black is boring. It will never be my EDC flashlight, but the Oclip is a great backup to have around for those hands-free situations. I just checked and I earned $2.78 for your order. And $0.86 for my second friend's order. Thanks, friend, whoever you are. My Total Rewards are $3.64 and my Available Rewards are $0.00. If the total ever adds up to $10 I think that's when I actually get paid. I'll give you back half of my "commission" once I get it.

That was probably me. I ordered an i3T 2 EOS along with the free i3T EOS. waiting on delivery. last report they were in NJ.

Thanks, Majer. I think you're going to like the i3T 2 EOS, especially if you put a 10440 Lithium battery in it. They're 3.7 volts instead of 1.5 volts, but you need a lithium battery charger that goes up to 4.2 volts to charge them. You can also use rechargeable NiMH batteries but they're only 1.2 volts. You can put a 10440 battery in the little i3E EOS but it wasn't made for it and will get hot before long. If you want a lot of light for a moment, you can't can't beat it for its size, but I don't know how long the battery will last. An alkaline AAA is supposed to last 45 minutes and a NiMH for 70 minutes, but probably close to 72 lumens, not 90, which still isn't bad for a single AAA the size of a pinky finger. But the i3T 2 EOS will put out 300 lumens with a 10440 battery, 200 lumens with a AAA alkaline, and maybe 160 lumens with a NimH battery. That's a heck of a difference between the NiHM and the 10440. I got a bunch of them on Amazon, cheap.
