I know this is a firearm site and not one meant for religion, so I apologize in advance if this offends anyone. I would like, however, to ask those of faith for your prayers. I have been blessed with both sets of grandparents for many years, but now one of my grandfathers is in bad condition. He was diagnosed with a spindle cell tumor on his liver and it has grown, within just a few weeks, to a size which makes it impossible to treat medically. The good citizens of this "community" have rallied together before in times of need to support each other, so please, think of my grandfather as you pray. Thank you.

I usually don't go to weekday evening prayer, but I will be there tomorrow, and a candle will be lit and ten hail Mary's said.
Hang in there, I lost my stepdad a few months ago,I was in the room when he died. There's nothing anyone can say or do but pray.
Yours in Christ,

This is a Firearms site that looks after it's own. Your Grandfather, AND YOU, are in our prayers.

Thank you all for you support and prayers. We just found out today my grandfather's cancer is in stage 4, and his doctors want to send him home with hospice services. We, however, are unwilling to give up on him, so we are seeking, at least, a second opinion and maintaining our faith. Well, I just wanted to update the situation and say thank you. It's nice to have a family out there in addition to the one I was born into. :)

P.S. For those of you who prefer to have a name when praying, my grandfather is Johnie Justice. Thanks again and God bless.

Swoop, If it comes down to it and your Hospice is any thing like Hospice here (Hospice of the Suncoast) they are wonderful.

Swoop, I second what Haz said!! The people at Hospice are GREAT!! They are a blessing.

Amen to that Haz, my Dad lived in Hudson when he died, the Hospice people (Pasco County I think) were great, especially as he was a bit on the difficult side.
Our prayers for your family and Johnnie, Swoop - God alone knows what will happen and why - and it will be right.

Swoop, this is NOT just a "gun forum",, this one is different. We stand tall and do not stand idly by when a member has a request.
A Prayer for you and your Grandfather:
Bring to all a sense of your presence.Guard them as the apple of your eye. Shelter them in the shadow of your wings and enfold them in your presence. This we ask through Christ our Lord, Amen.
”May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope” (Romans 15:13).

Swoop,
Unlike many forums, we are a balanced family here. We care about more than just your guns and shooting tales.
I think you have learned quickly how many care, and put me on that list as well. There will also be many you will never hear from that are remembering you as well.
All the best!
