He has to do a whole heap of programming to change the software so you all can add the code and can embed.
( I think when he saw me working so long on doing all the embedding I do on the site...he is seriously considering reprogramming. Even though he hates doing it ;D )
When he does this I will tell you all how to do it. I found a shortcut so it isn't hard to do. I will be more than glad to show you all how to do it..
( I hate to nag on that.. cause I am saving up all my nagging and sucking up/begging/requests vouchers for that pink 10-22 that will be at Tactical Solutions booth at NRA.. soooooooooooooooo.. you can understand ..can't you?? why I have to wait on the embedding thing? ;)

As I grow older I find my taste in music broadening a bit. I grew up with classic rock and it all went to hell in the Disco Age. Fortunately, punk rock brought back some piss and vinegar. ;D It gave me a reason to smile. These days I find myself despising the new generation of punks and the wannabe bands like The Bravery, All American Rejects, Weezer, et al.
Always did like Johnny Cash and Waylon and Willie though I never bought music from the last two. Hank Williams Jr. has an attitude that anyone can appreciate.

I never was a big country music fan, although I love bluegrass, so I'm not very familiar with his music. Anyway, Keith Whitley, before he passed, was a big fan of my family's restaurant. My grandparents talked about him coming in very frequently before he made it big. After his popularity rose he would call in orders and have them picked up (by his sister if I'm not mistaken) to avoid the hassles that come with stardom. From what my grandparents and some old employees have told me, he was a very friendly, down to earth man.

A little history for those who aren't familiar. That's Jack White, and Meg, his wife (at the time). Their from Michigan. Sterling Heights I think, but may be wrong on the city. Neither one can read a note of music, Jack plays by ear, and Meg has never had even the least bit of a lesson (she's been called "rythmicly retarded" :), but I still love her!). Together they are the "White Stripes", and IMO, Jack may be the best guitar since Hendricks. In most of his songs you'd swear there's at least somebody on bass with him. He's playing both parts at the same time.

Eric don't like me much, but I nominate this for comment of the day award. ;D I was caught about halfway between and Nashville and Austin once, and I was tired and it was getting on towards 11:30. All I wanted was a couple of chilly cool ones, a motel 6 and a place to crash since I'd been driving all day. So I figured midnight would stop sales and I pulled into this gas station/convience store and went to the cooler. No beer. :P I asked the clerk, who looked like she was the grandma from the cast of Deliverance "Do ya'll just not sell beer, or is the whole county dry"? She responds "We're dry as a bone, and the whole world ought to be. You got Jesus, you don't need that stuff". Not wanting to interrupt the customer at the counter and make it to next county before midnight, I didn't want to make a fuss. So I just said good night. She adds, "And you can ask the preacher here if you need to come to the lord". I nod to the gentleman (clocks ticking) and say "Folks, I'm an Episcopalian, we can have beer and Jesus too". The preacher burst out laughing, banjo lady would have shot my ass if there hadn't been a witness, and the Quaker crosssed the county line and hit a Taco Bell, a Circle K for some Bud and a Hamilton Inn (well above my usual standards, but I figured I earned it) and all was well. ;D So much for visiting Bill Clinton's home state, thank you no. When a man has to be saved from a crazy Baptist,by her preacher from wanting a cool beer after a long day on the road, I'll say no thanks.

dead skunk in the middle of the road - Loudon Wainright IIITwo days after dad was killed my sister had to copy some papers over at the school, well none of us were really in good shape so we called our neighbors to have them take her over to copy them. As she gets into the outfit she starts to smell a skunk, the smell followed them as the got to the school to make copies and kept getting stronger. They both looked at each other said shoot it's almost like the skunk got in here. Then Patsy looked at my sisters jeans...she took a direct shot to the leg. Well, so they comeback to the house and come to the front door. NO ONE ever used the front door unless they were a stranger looking for a hand out. AGAIN we were ALL in bad shape and not wanting to deal with a panhandler I refused to answer the door. I felt bad after I found out it was my sister.
Three days after that we had a couple guys from our church stop by. One of which was the biggest joker you'd ever meet. Paul said, "Brenda you'd better becareful there's a skunk under the deck." Needless to say we just didn't take him seriously until Mark said, no really there is a skunk there. Just then the skunk saunters out Brenda throws her cat up in the air. A couple days after that, the skunk didn't bug anyone ever again thanks to a friends single shot 20 gauge.

1) Go to Google
2) type in the name of the song and/or group followed by youtube
3) when the results page comes up, find any song by them that is on youtube and then go to the youtube (not google) search box. Type in the song agaian.
4) Highlight the URL and hit "copy" in your edit tab on windows.
5) return here and make your intro. Then skip a line or two and hit "paste" fron the windows "edit" tab at the upper left hand of your screen.
6) Once the underlined URL appears. highlight it and click on the youtube icon by the smileys on the very page you're reading. This may be the blind leading the blind, but I finally got it to work for me. If you have problems, email M'lette. ;D

Not sure about "Troubled Times", but I saw Elvis in Omaha in 1977. Was dragged kicking and screaming by the girl I was dating at the time. Told her that if she wanted to hear some fat guy sing we could stay home and I'd sing for her. I don't know what it was about Elvis, but something about that old, fat, soon-to-be-dead man(Elvis, not me) caused that cute little 19 year old coed to rape me in the parking lot after the show.

You DO realize that "John Henry" was a Civil war euphemism for an escaped slave, also known as "contraband".Also an American folk hero ala Paul Bunyan. "John Henry" was one of the first "crossover' hits. It was sung by white and black musicians. Records were sold in both markets going way back. It became a hit in the '40s. Sort of like Elvis, a foot in both worlds.

Thanks for the Reckless Kelly. One of my favorite bands ever. Seven Nights in Ireland? That kicks ass. But 1952 Vincent by Richard Thompson? That is a classic. Here's another Richard Thompson tune "Bee's Wing" and it is one for the ages, if for no other reason than that it teaches you how an accoustic guitar should be played (and sweet lord how do you you play it like that without a third hand?). Add to that great lyrics and a valuble lesson in how not to deal with a strong woman...classic. :-X ;D
