Would love to see what would happen to the PETA freaks attending a function like that over there LOL Possums wouldnt be the only things being skinned and tossed.

I wish they would have done that at my school! :D
we'd find possums alongside the road all the time.

The woman who stated that, "our urban counterparts are so far removed from the reality of what goes down on the farm…", says it all. That thinking she refers to is what is becoming the pervasive mindset in this country.
Our possums look a little different.

I liked the Principle's comment on getting the kids out from in front of the play station and interacting with nature for a good cause.
Great Story!

To give an idea of how great this is compared to the situation in the US, let me mention The Possum Drop. The Possum Drop, was an annull New Years event held in this little NC town. Here, to mock the Times Square event, a possum in a cage was hoisted to the top of the flag pole. At midnight, it was lowered ( not dropped) slowly earthward, and then released. However PETA, decides this is horribley cruel and treatens to sue the storeowner unless he stopped it. >:(

That is absolutely correct. I still prefer to call them possums. (I actually just call them DEAD cause that's how they end up if I see them.) That blasted O just gets in the way.
*grumble grumble* Damn scientist and all their classifications of everything trying to make my life more difficult having to remember all the little things. *grumble* ;D
