To give an idea of how great this is compared to the situation in the US, let me mention The Possum Drop. The Possum Drop, was an annull New Years event held in this little NC town. Here, to mock the Times Square event, a possum in a cage was hoisted to the top of the flag pole. At midnight, it was lowered ( not dropped) slowly earthward, and then released. However PETA, decides this is horribley cruel and treatens to sue the storeowner unless he stopped it.

That is absolutely correct. I still prefer to call them possums. (I actually just call them DEAD cause that's how they end up if I see them.) That blasted O just gets in the way.

*grumble grumble* Damn scientist and all their classifications of everything trying to make my life more difficult having to remember all the little things. *grumble*
