Well, hopefully this is a first step, and we will see them willing to ship to any FFL once they get the program up and running.

I applaud any new outlet. In fact, I thought, "I'm driving by the Ocala store next week, I'll order something."
BUT: The selection is rather limited, you must call for pricing, most are labeled for sale in store only. Well, duh, if I have to go to the store, I'll just go to the store. What's the big deal, unless they ship to local FFLs. I can hope this is a first step.
As I said, any new outlet is good news.

They havea relly nice selction of ARs, however, the selection stoe to store varies. Its nice that you can order head and know that its there waiting. When I was lookingat my Bond, a store manager DID offer the GM version on GunToker, just no variant on store price. So unless this was an abberation they MIGHT be able to ship to your FFL.

That is really convenient.

If you are going by Ocala, it would be cheaper to go to one of the local shops. There are couple off of 75. One is at an air-boat hunting store at exit 358, the other is a couple of miles east on 27 (exit 354 I think). Both will have better prices and probably more selection.
I was excited when Gander Mountain opened, but they were asking almost double what Wally World was asking for the exact same ammo I knew It wasn't for me (this was pre Obama mind you). The guns were a bit pricey as well.

HAZ, I'm going to see my father in Sarasota next week, so I'll be passing within a stones throw of you. I'll only be there 3 days and we probably won't get up to T/SP at all. I've got lots of friends in the area, but there never seems time to stop.
BROS, thanks for the tip. A lot depends on time of day we pass through, but I'll put that in my notes. There's a large hunting/fishing store up this way in Tifton that I try to stop at as well.
BACK On-Topic: Yes, it's nice that GM will....(did I just type that Gander Mountain's initial are GM?)......will move inventory to your nearest store for you, but my local gun shops will order for me as well at sometimes better prices and I get a complete choice of models, calibers and features. STILL: Any new outlet is good news over all.

Around here we just refer to the as Gander, and that is much nicer these days.
Any move by any dealer to be more customer friendly is a good move. Now if we can just bring back the old Sears and Wards catalogs with a fully stocked gun section!

Sears and Wards catalogs
Amen to that. Sears has gone down the tubes since Kmart took them over.

I remember picking up the Sunday paper, finding the Kmart ad and drooling over the Winchester Ranger 30-30 for $79.95! Wish I would have stashed a few of them away.

Just checked the Numrich catalog (the back contains a "house brand" reference guide )
"Hercules Model 50 shot guns were actually Stevens model 5100 while the Hercules model 11 was an H&R Topper 48 in .410
