Not the oven Haz, the grill. A little tinfoil envelope of hickory chips over the gas does wonders. Otherwise Kudos. Any recipie that says open a can of beer and drink half has my vote. Also remember to grease the can, its only fair to the chicken. ;D

As my old boss used to say. "It's aluminum, son, aluminum".

And the best flavor comes from a combination of charcoal, pecan, and oak.................... GAS?....gimme a break.

I like cricket myself but 301 works.  ;D  (If I play 501 double in / out we'll be here all summer! ;) )

GAS grills are an obamanation (sic), Sir!

My grill is 'out of order'.  I need to get the pan for the charcoal fixed (rebuilt).

Your Home Court Haz, we'll play what ever you want.....gotta get cobwebs out of the rulebook part of my brain though.  I've not played Cricket in thirty years.  Couldn't find anyone who actually knew the rules but me!

15 through bull.  3 hits each.  If I close and number before you then if I hit again I get the points.  Gotta close em all and win the points.

Doubles and triples are in play.  Center bull is a double.

I used to feel that way, but charcoal is a PITA and briquets aren't much more natural than gas. If you want to go with hard woods you"re  a better man than me Charlie Brown, and I want to eat at your house, but its expensive, slow and a pain. I will stand with Hank Hill and tout the benefits of propane. ;D

You use 'cowboy' http://www.cowboycharcoal.com/ charcoal and supplement with hickory or mesquite chunks.

Course this is still a bit of a bachelor pad.  I hung my dart board in the living room.  The dining room has become my office and right now there is an old Marlin 22 rifle torn apart sitting on the coffee table.  ;D

Make sure the boy keeps on learning too. I got some crap from friends in high school saing that cooking was for sissies. Tel Haz junior that that is BS. Its as valued by others  as learning how to fix a car. It makes you welcome at parties, and women like it. (Sign him up for a massage class if you want to be a really good dad ;D). Plus you eat better and cheaper in your own life. Some skills are priceless.

You got to have an "Esquire" for him on a coffee table. Damn good reading if you don't pay attention to the usual "gay looking" models in the adds. Latest one is full of manly recipes and good looking babes. BTW the "scratch and sniff" cologne inserts are darn good air fresheners  ;D
All jokes aside, their writers seems to be very conservative bunch too.

I like 'em in the fryer, too...........just like a turkey.........whole regular chicken is done in 1/2 hour, thereabouts.

It's ALL good.

I was going to inject a thread drift, but I realized,,,,it's the corner,, and it won;t matter anyway...

Grillin' comes down to BTU's and heat management.

Unless I'm pulling an all nighter for a real pig pickin', the corner sounds like the place to be...

I would like to submit a new poster for the wall.

I have relented on only cooking with charcoal and got this:

One side has gas and the other charcoal.  Mine I added a smokebox to the coal side so the thing is BLOODY huge!
I can smoke a brisket/ribs/whatever and just before it's done light off the gas for the kid's burgers and dogs plus the beans and potatoes.

I do almost all the cooking in my house.  The wife never really learned to do more than box meals and the oldest is just realizing that she's going to have to learn more meals than mac n cheese if she's ever moving out on her own.  I don't even think about it anymore and just reach in and grab stuff out of the fridge and off the spice rack and come up with stuff that the friends say should be in a resteraunt.  Only problem is I have no idea the measurements so recreating some of them would be impossible.  Paying for it though.  MUCH heavier than when I was younger and ate out all the time (weird huh?).

As for Jessie- I want to see her and Julie G go at it ;D  "Whose the better Glock babe?"
