I have been to the USS Arizona memorial and it was a humbling experience. The Tomb of The Unknown Soldier was one of the most humbling. Sorry a loss of words. You cannot really explain these places, you have to visit them and then you will understand. Being a soldier and having the honor to walk among real heros makes me feel proud and yet really small. I consider myself lucky to only paid the price of 16 years and a couple of years away from my family.
Those pictures make me think of my uncle Bill who passed in 2005. He served with Patton in WW2 and to imagine the sacrifice and hardships he went through. On Dec the 8th he went down and enlisted in the army.

Been there and I have seen the cassions. I even got my kids in to see the six white horses on Ft. Meyers. They loved it. It sends shivers up your spine.
