Quote
POLITICO has learned that Rep. Parker Griffith, a freshman Democrat from Alabama, will announce today that he’s switching parties to become a Republican.

According to two senior GOP aides familiar with the decision, the announcement will take place this afternoon in Griffith's district in northern Alabama.

If only he was a Senator.

"Why are you carrying a pistol?  Expecting trouble?"

"No Maam.  If I was expecting trouble, I'd have a rifle."

Just another RINO.
I am a member of my nation's chosen soldiery.
God grant that I may not be found wanting,
that I will not fail this sacred trust.

When Republicans switch, ie, Jumpin Jim Jeffords or Arlen Specter it makes huge news,......Didn't catch this one.

Hmmmm....Seems he's playing the hope & change, greener pastures, for 2010....

Just another RINO.

BULLSEYE!
Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.

I hope after the 2008 election we have learned that though (D) and (R) are far apart in the alphabet, in the political world they are near the same on a lot of issues.

If any want to see where the Republican party is headed, look at the so called Conservative party in the U.K. They are really only conservative in name only. Their party leader, David Cameron, denounced David Hannan (the one who blasted Gordon Brown in the EU parliament) on his criticism of their National Health Service- think universal health care.

Check out Prime Minister's Questions on CSPAN and watch them. You will get a good idea of what is in store for us if we don't stand up for our conservative/libertarian principles and elect those who also believe in them too.
