funny you should mention this   we were just watching a show here called Master Chef  and a couple of the Alleged Blokes ( I thing they did not have any balls  )   were having a big cry.    I mentioned what a bunch of Poofs

Hardly. We have the Octo Mom (eg the human possum for Simpsons fans), and on one of the women's channels "19 and Counting".19? 19 freaking kids? Yes, your vagina may work, but your brain, not so much. To me, 19 kids is a prima facia case for child neglect. Who's going to to feed, clothe, sing lullaby's to, potty train, teach to read, walk, play with, etc. 19 freaking kids? Hell, I'm obviously paying for them anyway, lets at least take direct control. Honestly, octuplets? 19 kids? On my dime? You wonder why I am pro-birth control.Rant over.
Still, I am not alone when I say that I am neither an idiot nor want kids. Having a kid is like carrying a gun. If you don't want to, for whatever reason, please, for everyone's sake, don't do it. We'll all be better off. Sorry I'm not holding up the Darwinian standard (though Eric and Rastus will be pleased ). Its just that when God said "Be fruitful and multiply", that made sense when there were two of us. When there are 6 billion and counting? I think the Lord expects a little common sense, self control and using scientific knowledge on our parts.

The "19 and Counting" family is a devout Christian family who do take the "be fruitful and multiply" verse seriously, even if you don't. The Duggar's take very good care of their kids and do not take one single dime from you - or the gummint. The husband works, and they make a bunch from the reality show and sponsors.

As for the second highlighted comment, what am I, chopped liver? ? ? ?   

As for using "scientific knowledge", well, this is just one reason why you're a faux "libertarian". The Duggar's are living their lives very nicely without you - or your hinted interference - and following their own, and God's, direction.

I don't hug share or cry. If I do, it will be with my best buds when I'm three sheets to the wind or my girfriend if things have totally gone to hell. Either way, it will never be spoken of again. Those are just the rules. Follow them.
Example from my Old Man,(who I shake hands with and haven't hugged since I was 16, a right of passage). My Grandma donated her body to the Med. school at UF after she died. Six months later, the urn came home. There was supposed to be a small internment service with my dad, my uncle and the grandkids for the internment. The funeral home was supposed to deal with the practical stuff. They did not. So,  Clan McCullough went to Home Depot, bought a post hole digger and did the deed. No whinging there, just a good laugh and a couple of cases of beer. God knows Grandmama would have liked knowing we at least had to sweat for her in our fancy clothes. Hell, I even played the pipes, which she would have loved more. She hated the noise, but loved the Scotts nationalism. Me playing "Scotts Wha' Hae" in a kilt while my cousins in their suits and dresses dug in the 90 degree heat of a Central Florida August day? The old lady was Rofl. But we did it it with nae bitching. HTFU!

Beat me too it Path.....The Duggars would have done quite nicely with or without TLC and seem to be raising their children better than any yuppie family with 2.15 children, a dog and a white picket fence.  They were even able to build a 7000 sq/ft home with their own hands.  Took them three years but it got done.

We have spent the past two weeks here in Florida with local news focusing on an unmarried black woman who has 15 children, 12 of whom were living with her in a motel.  The most telling thing about the situation was this woman shouting at the reporter that, "Somebody gots to do something to look after these kids."  That started something of an uproar, and the woman ended up in court where she refused to answer the judge's question as to whether she was pregnant yet again.  The judge sentenced her to jail for contempt, and suggested she reconsider her non-answer. 

Point is, college graduates, intelligent people of all stripes, generally above average types--these are the people having just one or two children.  Gutter trash like the above have 15 and depend on the state to care for them.  It does not take a genius to project the eventual outcome.
