Ok, so 3 years ago, I buy this rifle from a friend of mine who needs money, great deal, M40 Marine corps repro, built by an ex Marine corps armorer, complete with Leupold MK4 6.5x20 M1 scope, for 3k, believe me, this is a deal, and the rifle had a documented 7" 5 shot group at 1K yards. Now he wants it back, and I really like the rifle, except for the weight, 18lbs, don't even think about more than 2 shots offhand, unless your really muscled up.

So initially it was 3k back to me, and then the horse trading started, 1500 + his full size Liberty safe that I have been storing for him since he moved to CO. Did not sound good to me, then he added a Colt gold cup, customized but need refinishing, we are getting close now.

Wilson adjustable sights, melted, front cocking serrations, videki trigger, cylinder and slide hammer and sear, with a Brown ambi safety, and fitted barrel bushing instead of the collet barrel bushing, stippled front and back strap. But does have bare metal showing.
Now I had also bought a S&W model 19 2 1'2" from him, that I did not want, but the price was too right, 350, and it is a non catalogued special, polished finish but black instead of blue, made for the US postal service, turned out after doing a trigger/action job on it, I like it, ( I prefer 3" barrels on revolvers for the full extraction ). But this thing shoots.

So now He offers, 1500 + Gold Cup + safe + an AR15, DPMS lower and Armalite upper with extended rail, carbon fiber forend, veltor stock and vortec flash hider, trigger job done by me, when he removed his armalite 2 stage match trigger and I just installed GI parts so he could sell a functional rifle.

I added the Troy back up sights, and am now looking for the optics that will go on it.
My final answer, OK, We got a deal.
I wish they would start a reality show like pawn stars, except about guns. The deal really is fair, since the original rifle today with optics would be 5k.
Don't hate me Eric.
