Seeing how tuition is rising off the charts; it's good to see it's being put toward valid curriculum studies,..... :P

Or is this under "electives" ::)

A class to die for: Zombies 101 at U. Baltimore

– Tue Sep 7, 10:59 am ET

BALTIMORE – Call it Zombies 101.

The University of Baltimore is offering a new class on the undead.

The course is being taught by Arnold Blumberg, the author of a book on zombie movies, "Zombiemania," and the curator of Geppi's Entertainment Museum, which focuses on American pop culture.

Students taking English 333 will watch 16 classic zombie films and read zombie comics. As an alternative to a final research paper they may write scripts or draw storyboards for their ideal zombie flicks.

The university isn't the first to have a class on the undead. Columbia College in Chicago has offered a course on Zombies in popular media for years, and at Simpson College in Iowa students spent the spring semester writing a book on "The History of the Great Zombie War."

Hope their parents are proud,... ;D

Hell, I took Magic, Witchcraft, and Religion at Appalachian State, learned about "The Tales Of Don Juan" by Carlos Casteneda, and to avoid funny lizards in the desert, and peyote is BAD!!!  ::)

Very valuable lesson.

They don't need the movies and comics.  They could just study the 2008 presidential election and have a dearth of information:  Possibly two semesters worth.

"The History of the Great Zombie War."

Don't knock it till you've read it (I haven't ) I heard that they gamed it out and the Zombies pretty much win,

If you have not seen it, it is funny, the opening scene got me, as according to the story, it all started in Garland TX, where I live by eating mad cow burgers.

Woody Harrelson was good, but it should have been Ted Nugent.

Text books?

The top 10 lessons for surviving a zombie attack:

1.Organize before they rise
2.They feel no fear, why should you?
3. Use your head: cut off theirs.
4.Blades don’t need reloading.
5. Ideal protection=tight clothes, short hair.
6. Get up the staircase, then destroy it.
7. Get out of the car, get onto the bike.
8. Keep moving, keep low, keep quiet, keep alert!
9.No place is safe, only safer.
10. The zombie may be gone, but the threat lives on.
