Guys, I'd be real careful around this "Chief AJ. I understand the ATF got on his butt about the illegal manufacture of firearms and one of the southern Illinois tribes was on him about his supposed Indian heritage. Nothing confirmed but he sure disappear from the local gun show scene abruptly. Can't prove anything just a word of caution.

He just seem's like a "good 'ol fella" to me.  I grew up in the country around old timers like him.  They rarely said anything without "spiceing the story up a little".  For any kid...  It was GREAT!  We ate that stuff up!!!

I ordered one of his slingshots for my kid (yeah, thats it, it's for her! ).  Neither one of us will mind to much if the ATF wants to come give it a few shots.

Impressive. Met Chief AJ at the Shot show many moons ago, he was building custom 10/22's at the time, Now I don't know about his later history, but many times when people turn to primitive weapons, it is because they cannot own anything else.

Donno.  If I'm reading this right, it looks like he's still teaching shooting seminar's and making the 10/22's you mention.  He offers a trigger job, and few other mods for $60 complete.  Not bad pricing.  I've already got the 10/22 mod. thing down pretty tight myself.  If your looking for a great all around shooter.  Man may never know a better weapon than those things!
