The Solo is the same size as the Sig P238 or the Colt Mustang but in full 9mm.  The Sig P290 is a plastic lower frame like the P250 line or the new releas of the P2022.

I got a lead on the suggested retail on the Kimber Solo's:

"The all-new Solo™ Carry and Solo™ Carry Stainless are the most accurate, shootable and dependable 9mm microcompacts ever off ered.  Suggested retail price $725."

is that 1.2" thick number right?  That is chunky, GLOCK chunky.

That has to be measured across the ambi-safeties.

From your mouth to God's ear. ;) The only down side to this is the price. I can buy two Rugers for that. The trouble with Kimber is that they are a little too pretty for their own good in this market.I love their aesthetics in 19911s. They are drool worthy, and I say say that as a Glock guy. But, a pocket pistol is going to be kept, well, in your pocket. Quick and dirty is the game here. If they could drop that to the $500-$550 range, I'd look hard at it.

Give it a while for the hype to die and street price will be about $550. It will be just like every hot new gun, demand will far exceed supply for a while then things will even out and people will want to move them like they were before. I remember when I first wanted an LCP and people were paying $500+ for them at a show. I just picked up another barely used one the other day for $200.
