Federal law says US military equipment HAS to be manufactured in America, thats why Berreta and Sig first came to the US, for the .45 replacement contract.

I especially used to like the Gold Whale at the bottom of the hotel.  Grew up there.  Good times is right.  My kids missed out on so much.  Shame they have to grow up in todays world.
Our kids DID grow up in Cape May, and except for JR. who comes home in summer from college, they've all moved away. It was great, but we've lost our zing for the place. I think if it wasn't for the economy the way it is, we would move now.
We sacrificed a lot (including a solid retirement) so that mom could stay home with the kids and raise them right, and she did a hell of a job. But now these towns are 90% owned by folks who are buying their 2nd  or 3rd home, and since the big greedy building boom they developed the crap out of the area. Now it's all on the market, and it's not pretty. The one good thing about it is that the property values in Cape May are holding pretty well.

To answer JKWAS, CM, WCM, etc have been consolidating. They share police  and rescue services now, and CM's paid fire department (don't get me started) now works closely with the little volunteer departments and rolls on everything. It was coming anyway. The problem that I have is that Mr. Corzine (Mr. Wall Street) knows what's best for our small towns. It's the big cities that have the massive problems, massive debt, and massive drain on social services. Looks like they still get their aid.

I got the blues as my companion.

CM's paid fire dept.   The local fire depts used to call it "Mickey Mouse Firehouse"   While all the other companies were trying to get donations for fire engines and attack pumpers,  they were building a Museum.   All the money going up to Trenton and nothing coming back sure aint new in south jersey.   I remember there was always talk about breaking off into a seperate state.  But there's a lot of talk isn't there? ;)

I told you not to get me started. The Mickey Mouse house was built when it was 95% Volunteer, and built on raised money. They didn't need money for the trucks because the city bought them. Now they....nope. I'm done.
