Like to know if anyone around the gulf is preparing for Gustav? Saw this post over on the Outdoor Life blogs...

Please prepare a plan early (like now !) and if you can leave the area don't hesitate as they develop a clearer picture of where landfall will occur. Learn from Katrina.

Saw on the news New Orleans is a lot wiser this time around should it hit. Here in my neck of the woods, we are watching T.S. Hannah.
This is the peak of the season, I hope they miss.

Thomas Jefferson: The strongest reason for the people to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against the tyranny of government. That is why our masters in Washington are so anxious to disarm us. They are not afraid of criminals. They are afraid of a populace which cannot be subdued by tyrants."
Col. Jeff Cooper.
