Walt posted this link on FaceBook (my apologies to him if he was planning to post here), but it reminded me of the time I paid a BS parking ticket of $20 with pennies, while at college. I went to the bank and got the $20 worth of pennies in rolls, and then proceeded to open them up loosely into a few Crown Royal sacks. When I went to pay the fine at the college public safety office, the lady said she couldn't take the pennies. I said it was US currency and they would take them or nothing. She went and got her boss and the boss said to take them.....after I also mentioned the fact that the ticket was a bogus charge (longer story than this) and they could always just drop it. I also asked for a receipt and she said she would have to count it......I said I'd wait, and sat down. A few minutes later she just said she'd trust me, and wrote out the receipt.

Man Cited After Paying Bill With 2,500 Pennies
VERNAL, Utah -- A Utah man has been cited on a charge of disorderly conduct after paying for a disputed medical bill with 2,500 pennies.
The Deseret News of Salt Lake City reports Jason West went to Basin Clinic in Vernal on May 27 prepared to dispute an outstanding $25 bill.
Assistant Vernal Police Chief Keith Campbell says that after asking staff members whether they accepted cash, West dumped 2,500 pennies on the counter and demanded that staff count them.
Campbell says the incident upset staff because pennies were strewn about the counter and floor, and West's action served "no legitimate purpose."
Police later issued the 38-year-old West a citation for disorderly conduct. That carries a fine of as much as $140. Or 14,000 pennies.
This guy went about it all wrong, though.

For the Patriots of this country, the Constitution is second only to the Bible for most. For those who love this country, but do not share my personal beliefs, it is their Bible.
