Congrats on the new range!! Glad to see your community come together and build something for the common good!! Enjoy it!! But for everyone else, take a good lesson from this. Be involved in your community and it's politics. Unfortunately I learned that lesson the hard way. Where I live, the weasels in my community came together with the weasel politicians and shut down our range. The only public skeet range within 50 miles. It had been in continuous operation for 70 years and with a stroke of a pen and a wink from the EPA, they took our range away. Saying you will thank us, that the lead was poisoning the water and the little furry animals. This of course being a big surprise to all of the shooters considering it had been policy to use non-lead shells for quite a while!! Signed a piece of paper, Thursday, shut the range down on Friday and had bulldozed it by Sunday. It happened just that quick, and believe me it can happen to you!!

First let me  give congratulations to the new city range and secondly ask what did the NRA do to stop your range closing . When they ( the yuppies) tried to close the range I belonged to they came out and told us what was really wrong and how to fix it, but that was all they were willing to do, no help with the court and no help reparing our range . By the way we WERE  100% NRA.
Back up guns---Better to have and not need than to need and not have!

As soon as they got the EPA involved it was the kiss of death. And no way to fight the local/federal government and the enviro/anti-gun/too much noise-wacknuts in this area.

Yes to redundant, if you like guns.

Maybe MB could come down to fire the first shots over the range. A bit of promo work for the good of the people ya know. I am working on some plans for a rimfire league - like bowling only with guns.
