Electronic Hearing Protection???

I have a set of these by Howard Leight that I got last Christmas and they are the cat's meow. I had tried them before at the range and really liked the slim line fit. M............

Seems like several of us have the same thing.  I like mine because they shutoff quick and they amplify while not being too much a both by being slim.  I will say this, they do not suppress the noise as well as you really need for top notch protection.  But, as I said above, I have ear plugs under them.  So, I turn up the volume and can hear the commands, etc.,...but when the bang comes I'm protected.

Those other ones I talked about have a better noise protection but since they lag too much they just piss me off when I use them. 

Did you guys try plugging a radio into yours?

No radio for this little black duck, could think of nothing worse when I am shooting, I like to hear da BOOM other wise its like having a wank with out the happy ending.

I reckon Bane and Co, should have me come over and do a story for the outdoor channel, think of the cultural awareness it could foster, new vocabulary taught, and of course I have better legs than Marshal which would attract the lady folk 
Of course its a no brainer that the ratings would skyrocket as a result, either that or the show might be cancelled roflmao.

Got mine from Sportsman Guide (generic Caldwell) for $29. Slim profile for rifle shooting, and fairly cheap. I've never had a more expensive set so I don't have anything to compare them with, but they get the job done

I've used my MP3 player and the sound is pretty good. I should have also added in my first post that I also use ear plugs under the muffs.

you get what you pay for at Harbor F and my ears are worth more than those.

 My electronic muffs are the cheappies from Academy and my only complaint is now I can hear the motor mouths at the other benches. As Tuco Ramirez said "If your gonna shoot, shoot.... don't talk".
