Rather than improve working conditions, they put nets out to catch people jumping to their death?!? WTF goes on there?!? 
What's your point ? It was a public safety issue and they took corrective action.
Besides, it worked out fine on the Golden Gate Bridge.
Think about that every time you notice chain link fencing along a bridge, it ain't there to stop a car from going over.
Robots ? Old news, it's just the next step in Computer Numerical Control technology. The Auto industry has been using them for decades.
