You would be arrested for "Aiding terrorism".
Just like if you sent them via NorAid to defend Irish homes.

Is that what that jar marked NorAid was about in all those expat bars I drank at in DC?  Did I send money to the IRA?  ??? :o ;) Begosh and Begorrah! Whatever would my family think of me? I thought it was to help widows and orphans! :o Why would I, whose great uncle traded Smith and Wessons for Whiskey back in the twenties, possibly contemplate getting involved in shipping guns to my brothers if it pissed off the Crown? ;D

A real pity they didn't look that organized on Easter of 1916.
Perhaps Pearce and the Boyo's at Dublin GPO would have had a chance.
