Its called Bond Arms. They go for about $450 ($350 used) out of stainless steel and will handle about as a hot a load as you want. You can go with American Derringer and save a very few bucks, but if I'm the one that's firing it I wouldn't.

It comes close...but you  have to cock it and it has an exposed hammer and no room in the grip for two rounds...and it is over engineered for the .45 ACP....and somewhat bigger.

Not that it is at all a poor weapon, it just misses the narrow niche the Heizer is trying to create.

Whether anyone needs that niche isn't the question I am answering, just how a less costly solution might be developed.  This isn't going to be the gun you put 1000's or round through or shoot the eyes off of fleas.  Personally, I think the LCP (my choice) fits that niche better for me.  I'd rather have the extra rounds of .380 than the bigger hole of the two .45s.  It's sort of the 1911 of pocket pistols  ;D ;D ;D ;D
