counterfeit EoTechs

about 2 years ago, I purchased the TDI Vector with the pro pack. In said pack was a bunch of extras, including a 552 EOTech. I should point out this was a second hand purchase from a Memphis Swat Officer. Anyway, the the EoTech worked for about 20 rounds. So now I own 2 EoTechs and neither one works properly. I posted about it and got good advice from Rastus about contacting EoTech. Well it took a year to get around to it, and I see a warning about counterfeits, and how to identify them. long story short, I was burned twice. Very frustrated

Why not copy the info needed to detect the counterfeits and post it here so we all might be saved your experience?
